River City Ransom takes place in River City, where our heroes, Alex and Ryan, find a letter on Ryan’s locker from a guy named Slick. The letter says that Ryan’s girlfriend, Cyndi, has been kidnapped, and Slick has taken River City hostage with the help of countless gangs and evil bosses. River City Ransom was one of the titles that I had on my list of games that I really wanted, so this will be a definite get for us.

River City Ransom, is this the game where you use all kind of weapons like sticks, chains , bats or rocks ? and the funny thing about this game is if you throw a chain or rocks at the enemy it goes in slowmotion.

First off, yes BlockSS, that’s the game. The grandaddy of Fonal Fight and other brawlers.
But could it really be? Nintendo finally released a game worth buying and that a lot of people wanted on the VC? *gasp*

OMG, I LOVE RCR. I WAS WAITING FOR THIS FOR SOOOOOO LONG. I had 500 Wii Points saved up since like… last October waiting for this to come out. NOW FOR THE PURCHASE!

i still feel like double dragon is the grand daddy to fighting side scrollers like final fight and streets of rage, i can’t say i really remember this one without seeing it in action. phantasy star III this is good news. i never had it on the genesis, but did start playing it at work on an immulator disc, unfortunately for me the data was not copied properly and everytime i’m half way through the game it glitches and freezes up. now i can beat it most triumphantly!
