Here are the current top 10 Wii games according to aggregate reviews found on Metacritic. Average scores in parenthesis:
- Super Mario Galaxy (97)
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl (96)
- Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, The (95)
- Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition (91)
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (90)
- Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure (87)
- Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (85)
- Bully: Scholarship Edition (85)
- Super Paper Mario (85)
- No More Heroes (84)
50 percent of the top 10 games are made by Nintendo. Is that fewer or more than you expected?

dont worry, nintendo will fix that. mario kart is coming soon. and animal crossing is announced, at least for japan for this year. the wii has a bright future.

hmm, here’s what i think. can’t believe that brawl’s below galaxy, mp3 should be much higher too, never played super paper mario or bully or NMH so i can’t really talk about those.

That is fewer first party titles than I thought it would be. The fewer the better the future of the wii i’d say. I have all those games except bully and metroid prime 3. It surprised me too that brawl did not beat out mario galaxy. Interesting. It will be interesting to see whether EGM gives Brawl its first ever AAA (they have a new ratings system)platinum rating next month.

I have 8/10 games on this list….
The only ones I don’t have are Bully and NMH, and I plan on getting NMH eventually.

Wow that’s actually a very healthy 50/50 ratio of 1st to 3rd party top 10 rated games this early in Nintendos newest console. I wish I had the time to check these exact statistics for the Gamecube. I’m curious to see how it fared. The only issue I can see is that 3 of the 5 3rd party titles are ports. That subject has been covered before so lets just hope we see a ton more top rated 3rd party titles no matter what.

And MLB Power Pros falls off the list. Oh well.
I actually own all of those except Brawl (will get soon) and Bully (probably never, I’m sick of PS2 ports).

The fact that Bully is up there REALLY surprises me….I may have to pick it up. Y’know, if I ever finish any of the other 230492034982094 games I have lined up.
Anyways, I have all of those sans RE4 (I bought it 3 times already…gimme a break) and Bully. I don’t plan on picking RE4 up (or rather, not until it’s sub 15 bucks) nor had I planned on Bully…until this.

Looks about right to me. I’m not so keen on the bottom two or Metroid Prime 3 (felt slightly bored or “chored” about the first Prime game with its backtracking; the same goes with Paper Mario 2 only more so by the latter half; and I didn’t really like Killer 7 from what I saw in videos) but I have played them somewhat and MP3 and NMH aren’t too shabby so far (MP3 certainly has a far more interesting beginning; hated the isolated nonsense and constant loss of powers when MP2 came around). If Bully is anywhere as interesting as it comes off right now, then it deserves to be on the list. Godfather wasn’t bad either (didn’t like Scarface that much).

Yeah it doesn’t surprise me. The 50/50 ratio is great I think. Much better compared to the Gamecube and Nintendo 64 I’d say.
