Disaster: Day Of Crisis has been confirmed for an October 24th release date by Nintendo of Europe, but no release has been nailed down for North America. So, what do you think?
Will Disaster: Day Of Crisis be released in North America by the end of 2008?

I said yes, I reckon you will - if not, early 2009 (january).
Even still I think you’re looking at a holiday release.

Absolutely. If it is ready for Europe, it is ready for NA.
Do you really believe Nintendo is only releasing Wii Music and Animal Crossing after September? That doesn’t even take into account the DS.

By nature I am a pessimist. If it ends up that the “yes” vote is true, I’ve lost nothing! I can only gain. ;D

I’ll say no but only because I don’t care if they delay it more. We know very little of the game and I’d rather be surprised by a game that’s good and not soemthing that seemed to show potential but was rushed out *cough* RedSteel *cough*

I don’t necessarily consider myself Nintendo’s MVP anymore, but I should like to think that they would want to please their “core” audience with at least one game this holiday season, if nothing else (I don’t count Animal Crossing, since that’s more of a bridge title). So I voted yes.

I don’t think it will be ready by the end of the year. Remember just ‘cuz it’s ready for Europe doesn’t mean anything. They still have to localize the game both with the game’s language and dialogue, but also convert it to an NTSC format.
It will however be released early next year IMO. I think Nintendo’s trying to stretch out their releases without being too stringent. Yeah we only got one or two ‘core’ games coming out this year, Wario Land: Shake It! and Animal Crossing 3. You can’t even really call AC3 a ‘core’ game because you literally just run around talking to animals doing chores, which to me is a boring game, until you bring the online parts of the game, which is the best feature, but it still isn’t enough to be considered a ‘core’ game.
As for Wario Land: Shake It!, that game seems like it’s at most five hours of game play to complete the main campaign. After reading the preview in the latest issue of NP, they mention how many levels there are which wasn’t a whole lot.
Either way, Disaster will be a game that Wii owners, are badly needing at this point in time.
