Online Tetris coming to Wii Ware this summer

Hudson on Tuesday confirmed a summer release of Tetris in Japan for Wii Ware with a North American release likely to follow. Purchase details and a complete list of features were sorely missing from the announcement, but we do know the game will support 6-person online multiplayer, not to mention handsome Miis. Additionally, the venerable puzzle game will support a coopertive mode if the acompanying screenshots are to be believed. Sweet.

Hmmm… Did we already have this one online already in every other current platform (and some last-gen, even)??

I hope it has more than one mode . . . like the DS version. That’s soooo much fun to play multiplayer. Like the push mode. Good times.

I hopethis has the original Tetris music or at least a decent remix of it that you can choose to listen to when playing.
That’s my only complaint against the one on DS, and even then it’s minor incomparison to what you get :).

I hope the price matches the modes. If it’s pretty much just classic tetris for 5 bucks, I’m in. If it’s more, but it has more, I’m down. I never did get Tetris DS, but this might be more my speed. We only have one DS in the house, but I bet I can get my wife to play this with me.
