That voice is priceless. It never, NEVER fails to make me smile. My parents could die in a tragic accident, but if Charles Martinet broke the news to me in the Mario voice…you know, it wouldn’t be so bad.

…I would never delete that message from my machine….ever

On a side note, is anyone else having trouble getting onto Nintendo’s homepage? The url is active, but there’s no content….

n/m….apparently I have some kind of browser error…..weird that it’s just that one website not working though…..

so my gamestop isn’t releasing until tomorrow; has anyone else gotten the message today?

My store didn’t get any copies in today, but we have gotten the coins. As far as I know we only have 10, although some more may be coming. If you really want one I advise you to get to store at opening, because I doubt there will be enough coins to cover all the preorders.

I played a little Galaxy last night. Now some random thoughts:

    -Princess Rosalina is cute
    -fun graphics
-A black hole in the middle of a planet? The new bottomless pit
-Dude, I’m upside down . . . you can correct the view with C, but it might be more fun not to. Somebody bring back 3D glasses and trip me out
    -Princess Rosalina is cute
-Where’s all the moves from 64? Glad they kept the crouch jump, wall jump and stuff, but there’s no longer a button for punch/kick/air dive/front slide that I know of
-more than one pause button. I can’t help but feel like it’s a wasted button
-cross-pad camera . . . haven’t seen much camera control in Wii games lately. Glad they brought it back
-Princess Rosalina is cute. Did I mention that?
-spin move done by nunchuk, not Wii remote, at least in my experience. Is it me, or did they make a mistake there in the instruction?

that message was really long. the part that made me laugh, though, was at the end. After all that Mario-ness, you randomly get “End of messages.”

My mom listened to that message before me and I guess she didn’t hear the part where Charles Martinet says he is the voice of mario. She thought that the guy at gamestop actually sounded like that!

I love Mario but that was just stupid

I got the cal tonight and WISH I would have let the voicemail take! At least I can share this video with friends who don’t get it by my description.

I got it too, but I think it went on too long and my voicemail cut him off before he was done. Funny as hell though. “Texas? I don’t know anyone in Texas. Must be a telemarketer.” But the telemarketer was Mario.

  13. Negrin says...

Ok, I never again want to hear Mario say more than one sentence at a time. Also, give me the game. Now.

    ;)

i giggled like a school girl when i got that call. i swear, the only time i might have appreciated that more was when i was 8, and if i’m honest with myself, i know that i’ve developed new levels of emotional depth since then and probably did enjoy it more now.

The best part was a followup voicemail tonight from the same number but with a computerized female voice, informing me that Super Mario Galaxy was available for pickup tonight….. and that it was rated Mature and I had to be at least 17 to pick it up.

In case someone’s wondering about my nunchuk spin situation, I realized I was using my bad Wii remote, which I think was dropped a few times and messed up the motion sensors.
