Disaster: Day of Crisis gets classified down under

Zounds! She lives! Keep hope alive! Disaster: Day of delays doom never coming out not a chance Vaporware Crisis just got classified in Australia. What could this mean?! I’m not sure, but if this and Nibiris’ less-than-vaporware title Sadness actually come out I’m pretty sure the world is really going to end, and the titles will be the world’s worst coincidences.

Disaster: Delays of Doom sounds like a great game, well a good name at least. Maybe a ps2 game about loading times.

I will not be surprised if the game arrives as nothing more than a pedestrian PS2-esque game with ugly graphics (those screenshots are horrible) and poorly implemented controls.

Potentially good 3rd party games struggle to get released while complete shovelware sells crazy. Ignorance is bliss I suppose…

  5. DonWii says...

This is a Nintendo Published, Monolith Soft(Nintendo Owned) developed game.

if its coming out, why hasn’t it gotten a rating in the states?

  7. Red Mozzie says...

Well, it’s definitely coming out. Anything likely to be rated above PG must be submitted to the Aus classification board for review before it is rated. So it’s obviously in a fit state to be played through by the reviewers.

Here’s a copy of the application form (Word doc) which sets out a list of the attachments required for submission — all categories (except “demonstrations”) are required to submit an actual working copy of the game.

So it exists and is playable.

[...] Granted, “still in development” doesn’t necessarily mean “actively working on.” But Nintendo fans can take heart that this statement is more official than a rating from this Australian Classification Board. [...]
