Cricket on Wii movement started

An Australian multimedia designer is starting a movement to get a Cricket game made for Wii. So far, he has contacted EA, created a website, and put together a promo video. It looks like a good number of Aussies are behind him, too. EA already makes a Cricket game, so I can’t see it being terribly impossible for them to port this to Wii. Are any of our international Infendonians out there interested in a Wii Cricket game?

I know cricket is a big sport for british or former british colony, like Australia, India etc. I don’t think it’s that big in many other places, anyway EA already makes a cricket game and it would be good to see it coming on Wii with a new control scheme.
I’d like better a rugby game…in Italy is not that big but it’s quite appreciated. We have a good team too.

Back on topic - Cricket would be very cool to see. I’m not a fan of Cricket myself but this would be a great way to open up the Wii to more off-color sports games.
In particular, I want Wii Bocce - I’m very serious. Anyone who has played Bocce knows how fun it is and the Wii could really pull it off - the controls would have to be incredibly tight however.

i think nintendo should put out a series of different wii sports series.
Series 2: Cricket, Bocce, Darts, Volleyball
Series 3: Go Kart, Fishing, Shuffleboard, Putt Putt
anyway you get the idea. but they could be cheaper than a full game, come in that little sleeve the original wii sports came in. bringing the cost down even more. with the ridiculous success of wii sports (which is stll the best multiplayer game on the wii) i can’t see any reason they wouldn’t want to continue putting more sports packages out.

The fact is, folax, I’d prefer a full game over other wii sports-like “collections”: what I need now is a good tennis simulation with wii controls. But you’re right, with the success of the Wii and wii sports I can see other collections coming, and I’m happy about it.

Baseball is a girls game. Cricket is a must, and the market for cricket is far bigger - the whole of the civilised world in fact. So, come on Nintendo - make a criket game!!!!

I would absolutley love a cricket game for Wii. I’ve got FIFA and Wii sports so to finish my colectin I need a cricket game. I play cricket so I reckon if you do a bowling action to bowl it might help my bowling and play shoots with the remote. I will LOVe a cricket game!!!
