That’s a pretty nice list. You can expect me to be online as well.

Wow, even I’m impressed with that list - Foghat, Pearl jam, the Strokes!?! Forget about a digital camera, I want this for Christmas, Santa (or mom)!
October 26th, 2007 at 2:55 pm
Debating…it’s either the PC version or this one…I really want the USB guitar for use with Frets on Fire…
October 26th, 2007 at 3:08 pm
Wow! The D made the list of tracks! This is the most amazing thing to be announced since The D were first birthed unto the world!
Tenacious D Rules!

I really hope I’m not scheduled to work on Sunday, so I can just waltz in and pick up my copy instead of stare longingly at it in the back room.
October 26th, 2007 at 3:19 pm
Having Héroes del Silencio’s Avalancha included has got my attention for this game… I hadn’t been that much excited about any Guitar Hero game until now.
October 26th, 2007 at 4:28 pm
I got my preorder into GameStop, the one by me is doing a midnight launch, which is fine and dandy considering I have to work 9-5 on Sunday. I want to make sure I get this!

AWESOME CANT WAIT!
October 26th, 2007 at 7:42 pm
Wasn’t this edition supposed to have AC/DC and Zeppelin in it?
Or am I thinking of Rock Band?
October 26th, 2007 at 9:51 pm
I played a 360 demo today (hit me with your best shot). Plays nice, looks great. I’ve gotta save up for mine, but I WILL be getting it!
October 26th, 2007 at 11:30 pm
oh my god. The Who, Santana, Cream, The Rolling Stones, RHCP and Pearl Jam. Rock Band vs Guitar Hero, fucking amazing list, let’s see when Rock Band comes to Wii, until that day Guitar Hero will seize at least 5,000,000 Wiis.
October 27th, 2007 at 12:52 am
I just preordered! Woo!
October 27th, 2007 at 1:42 am
I really want the USB guitar for use with Frets on Fire…
Wiimote is bluetooth, so it’s a wireless controller for Frets on Fire!
October 27th, 2007 at 2:13 am
They could have chosen something better than Heroes del silencio, it really shows how latin rock is unheard of in America.
October 27th, 2007 at 9:42 am
I hope you can download GH1 and GH2 songs eventually, because as it stands, while there are a lot of bands I like here, in every case except Cherub Rock and Bulls On Parade they’re songs I don’t especially like by those bands.
I also used to get a nervous tic whenever Cliffs of Dover got played, because it got played so very, very much and was so very, very uninteresting. Wonder if I still will.
October 27th, 2007 at 4:34 pm
Ever notice how they pick the shittiest songs so that you have to download them later? I mean, if you pick a song from Weezer, why the fuck would you pick My Name is Jonas? Suck My Kiss? Not even RCHP fans like that song.

Some decent tracks in there, most notably, The Metal, Paint It Black, Rock and Roll All Night, Number Of The Beast, Through The Fire and the Flames (that’s gonna be insane), Paranoid, Pride And Joy, One, Black Magic Woman, Welcome to the Jungle, Rock you Like a Hurricane, Black Magic Woman, Sunshine of Your Love, Talk To Dirty to me and School’s Out.
There’s a LOT of crap though (pretty much everything else). Still be picking it up for sure though - if only to hear Slash’s composition for the boss battle.
And Blake, Knights of Cydonia one of the greatest songs ever recorded? Have you actually heard any decent music? The entire back catalogue of Zeppelin/ACDC/Sabbath/Purple/GNR etc etc shits all over anything Muse could come up with.
Matt Bellamy = Master of the Effects Pedal.

I broke down and bought it yesterday. I was convinced Best Buy was going to be sold out already, but when I got there a little after noon they still had STACKS.
This is my first real foray into GH, since I had only played a few tracks on 1 and 2. I freakin’ love it! And with the addition of the Wii-mote, the guitar controller has some serious heft to it, making it feel more real.
I just wish I was skilled enough to play above Easy. I’ll get there, though.

@ Phil,
That comment was slightly tongue in cheek, mate. I love Muse, but yeah, Zeppelin and AC/DC are most awesome. GNR to a lesser extent.
October 29th, 2007 at 4:48 pm
Muse is really not that bad, but I’d have rather seen Citizen Erased or New Born than Cydonia.
Or they could have just gone back to the source and used Paranoid Android, already.
