While researching E3′s past, I stumbled upon the above video. It is described as showing, “an idiot from a fansite asking Miyamoto the first question at Nintendo’s 2001 E3 press conference in unbelievably bad Japanese.”

Reputedly after Miyamoto and company laughed off the embarrassment, the reporter repeated the not-so-sophisticated question in Engrish: “Uh, how do you like working at Nintendo?”, to which even more laughter ensued. Classic.
