Yet another new DS game that should have your attention

YouTube Preview ImageI just love Xseed Games. They seem to always bring the most obscure, great looking games to North American shores. Next month, they will be dropping a new RPG for the DS, and it certainly has gotten my attention.

Solatorobo: Red The Hunter has been out for quite a while in Japan and launched this July in Europe, but North American gamers have been left out of the fiesta, until now! Solatorobo launches next week here in the states, and you can bet that I will get my grubby hands on the title.

In the meantime, check out this trailer for the game and decide for yourself whether or not you will pick it up. If anything else, it is a new game that you can play on your 3DS until Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 launch later this year.

IVY The Kiwi Promotional Video

Ivy the Kiwi is a pretty simple yet very stylized game that appears to be in the same vein of Kirby Canvas Curse. You control and move Ivy, the little Kiwi, by drawing vines and manipulating them to influence how the character moves. The players do not directly control Ivy, Ivy only moves in a linear direction and the player has to draw lines to guide Ivy away from danger and to the goal.

Look’s like a really interesting game, but has it taken too much of Kirby Canvas Curse’s gameplay and made it its own? Or has it improved upon the concept?

E3 Hands on: Ju-on – The Grudge

Sunday, June 7th, 2009 at 8:25pm by Will Thompson

Ju-on the Grudge, plays like an enhanced interactive movie. From the few minutes I had to play around with the game, I learned that the game puts you in control of one of four family members who are trapped under the curse. Just like in the movie in  Ju-on you follow the lives of family who are affected by a curse created by a murdered housewife in a house in Nerima. (more…)
