There are few games that have the legacy of the Zelda franchise, and even fewer still outside of Nintendo. Because of this, The Legend of Zelda is always in the limelight and is always held to a higher standard than any other video game around. With the release of Skyward Sword coming five years after the previous console iteration and two years after Spirit Tracks, gamers have been vociferating there demands for another adventure, and after finishing the game in its entirety I can say that Nintendo has once again delivered. I’m 48 hours in and still can’t see the finish line, although all indications are I’m about to turn the final corner. What’s more, there is a boatload of treasure, side missions, and islands I hope to unlock immediately prior to my final push to the summit.

I loved Robin Williams in his many theatrical performances such as Hook and Dead Poets society, but  when I found out he named his daughter after my favorite video game franchise of all time, my love for him went up by the power of ten. Now Robin and Zelda are in a new commercial promoting the newest game in the franchise, Skyward Sword, and it is pretty great.

I hope Nintendo and the Williams family continue to bring it with the great television adds. I think the celebrity can really help to get the word out about the game, and make Skyward Sword a huge hit!

What do you think? Do you enjoy seeing Robin and Zelda in these adds?
