A Review: Simplicity + charm + rhythm = Rhythm Heaven Fever for Wii

At first I was surprised that Rhythm Heaven Fever didn’t include motion in its control scheme. The controls, in fact, are infinitely simple: the “A” and “B” buttons are essentially the summary of control for the entire game. Upon thinking about this, I decided it was for the game’s benefit. Rhythm is a precise art (trust me, I know). Motion control is not a prec...

Review: Why Xenoblade Chronicles deserves a trip into GameStop

There’s no doubt, playing Xenoblade Chronicles is like having a second job. I put over 90 hours into the game and still could have gotten more out of it. If you’re worried about not getting your money’s worth for the game, I paid $70+ just to have an import copy, and the game was worth every dollar. Fear not RPG fans, Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the most refreshing experiences...

Kid Icarus: Uprising review: Is it bad if the boxart is my favorite part of the game?

Kid Icarus: Uprising has had many Infendo contributors, myself included, wondering if the game was going to have some serious problems when it finally released. Since then, it has, and let’s just it has never been more fantastic to be proven wrong. Project Sora has with their first project already proven that they are a top tier developer, making the wait for Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS all ...

Review: Skyward Sword truly soars and is the reason to be a fan of Nintendo

When Nintendo sets out to make a Zelda title, there are always high expectations even before a single line of code is written. There are few games that have the legacy of the Zelda franchise, and even fewer still outside of Nintendo. Because of this, The Legend of Zelda is always in the limelight and is always held to a higher standard than any other video game around. With the release of Skyward ...

Review: Give Skyward Sword a little break, Rayman Origins is one of the most charming games of the year

Rayman Origins is by far and away one of the most pleasant surprises of 2011. Who knew that the franchise that went from a side-scrolling platformer in 1995, to a mini-game collection in 2006 would come back full circle to deliver one of the finest platformering games in existence. Coming from a Nintendo fan who grew up with Mario titles such as Super Mario 3 and Super Mario World, this pra...

3DS, one week later. My review.

It’s been one week since the 3DS was released to the masses. For 7 days now I have raided faces and turned my table into a shooting gallery, much to the curiosity of my cats. How do I feel about my Nintendo 3DS after one week? Click on to find out!

Review – Jam City Rollergirls is an impressive WiiWare accomplishment

The first thing that struck me about Frozen Codebase’s new WiiWare title, Jam City Rollergirls, is that they crammed a lot into the restrictive file size of the Wii Shop Channel. For a game that combines Mario Kart [racing and power up items], Tony Hawk [skating and tricks], and roller derby action, they also managed to implement a rudimentary character generator for customization. Sure, it&...

Critics doubting Mickey’s epic-ness, confusing fun with effort and charm?

Since game review scores are already inflated, these numbers can’t bode well for a game dubbed Epic. What’s more, a lot of reviewers are seemingly scoring the game higher than they might have otherwise given all the effort Disney put into making the game. Unfortunately for them, effort doesn’t always equate to inspired gameplay, which is what we want. Either way, we’ll publ...

Early reviews for GoldenEye Wii remake are encouraging, love the multiplayer

Varying consensus opinion seemingly keep it from achieving the quality of the original. But it’s obvious GoldenEye 007 is anything but a cash-in. Out today, the $50 game is definitely worth consideration, especially from die-hard Bond, shooter, and multiplayer fans. Infendo impressions to follow.

Good game alert: Disney Guilty Party

Recently featured on the new and improved Infendo Radio, the fam and I have been playing Disney Guilty Party, which is basically Mario Party + Clue, the board game. Throw in high quality production values, and the $40 party game is something I’m betting most families would enjoy.

In case you missed it: Batman on Wii is good

“A classic 2D brawler that’s easy to pick up and enjoy, and it doesn’t take itself seriously, with plenty of self-parody to go around. The adventure is over too soon, but don’t let that stop you from suiting up.”
