Resident Evil

Resident Evil: Revelations may not be the last RE on 3DS. Would you buy another one?

If you have been listening to Infendo Radio you would know that I loved Resident Evil: Revelaitons Revelations. It is wonderful to have a meaty experience on the handheld that can suck you in for hours on end, or until the battery dies, whatever comes first. As a longtime fan of the Resident Evil series, I can honestly say that Revelations is right up there with Resident Evil 2 as one of my favori...

Send Capcom a message: Don’t buy Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D

The reason: The game does not let you reset saved game data. Why? Presumably as a parlor trick to disuade used (or as I call them: pre-owned) game sales. But Capcom ambiguously says that’s not the case. “Secondhand game sales were not a factor in this development decision,” Capcom said in a statement to Giant Bomb. “This feature does not remove any content available for users.” But ...

The best of the rest: E3 wrap-up

E3 has come and gone, but not without the Big 3 console makers showing the gaming public their goods. Prior to the Los Angeles show Nintendo had confirmed they were working on a new console, but E3 brought the first glimpse of the Nintendo Wii U. There was a very strong handheld presence at the show with Nintendo focusing a lot of it’s effort on it’s newly launched 3DS while Sony was s...

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D dated

Capcom has let us in on when we can expect our first taste of Resident Evil on the 3DS. On June 28 Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D will hit store shelves everywhere. The only question I have is whether anyone will be willing to shell out $40+ for what were essentially mini games in Resident Evil 4 and 5.  Extra corny teaser trailer with a side of cheese is included after the break.

Capcom promotes Dark Side Chronicles, Twitter?

With Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles to ship on November 17, Capcom has decided to pull a PR stunt where Leon and Claire will twitter about the events in the game. It seems that twittering as video game characters the new cool PR move? Do you guys follow any video game characters on Twitter? [ Follow | Disc 1 – Leon | or | Disc 2 – Claire ]

Capcom: Resident Evil 5 “possible” on Wii. Infendo: “No thanks’We don’t care about boring sequels”

Some Capcom dude has been quoted as saying that Resident Evil 5 is “possible” on Wii. Still, it “isn’t likely,” he says. Were he talking about a game of consequence, say Capcom’s excellent Resident Evil 4, I would be saddened by the statement. But he’s not talking about a game of consequence. He’s talking about a clunky controlled, out of touch Resid...

Resident Evil 4 and the cost of perfection

“The perfect game.” Our community often scoffs at the concept. Many argue perfection is unattainable, a Utopian mirage no game developer could ever reach. No game is entirely unblemished; there is always room for improvement, we argue, and there is always a flaw worth criticizing. It almost seems an unwritten rule of gaming. The words of a writer who describes any game as “faultl...
