Nintendo Press Release – 11/10/2011

Nintendo will be making an unlikely pit stop at the 2011 LA Auto Show, marking the video game company’s first-ever appearance at an automotive trade show. Members of the media are invited to an exclusive presentation by Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime and special guest Ryan Friedlinghaus, founder and CEO of West Coast Customs, to unveil an exclusive collaboration between the iconic gaming brand and one of the most recognized names in the custom automotive industry.

The presentation will take place during the LA Auto Show’s Nov. 17 Press Day at 12:10 p.m. Consumers will also be able to visit the Nintendo booth from Nov. 18-27, when the show is open to the public.

I’m guessing this is promotional for Mario Kart 7. Anyone Infendo readers planning on hitting this event?

The good folks over at Nintendo have today announced its Q2 lineup, and in it we learn when we will be enjoying Zelda on 3DS!

Mark your calendars, because June 19th will be Ocarnina of Time day here in North America. Also announced is a new version of everyones favorite mini game collection Wii Play: Motion which includes….yeah you guessed it, a Wii Remote Plus to go along with 12 new motion-controlled mini games.

- Early last year, the Wii officially surpassed the NES as the best-selling Nintendo console in history. Now, according to a new press release, the Wii claims another milestone as it has sold 35 million consoles in the US faster than any other console in history. The sales figures of recent releases such as Donkey Kong Country Returns aren’t doing too shabby, either.

From the sounds of this press release, Nintendo’s unstoppable Pokémon franchise shows no sign of slowing down. Man, Nintendo is so doomed. Maybe they should just make a sequel to Doom since they know the subject so well. Iwata can only dab his tears away with fistfuls of money as he watches the entire company go down in flames!
