[There are 15 new challengers in Super Smash Bros Brawl. This series will feature each new contender and rank them on their fighting potential with the Infendo Smash-O-Meter! The Smash-O-Meter measures each character (on a scale of 0 to 300) on their uniqueness and potential as a great Brawler. Spoilers are present, so be careful if you wish to remain unspoilt.]

Diddy Kong
Diddy Kong made his debut in Donkey Kong Country. Diddy helped to soften up his Uncle Donkey Kong’s image, which until that point was mostly serving as a monstrous antagonist. Diddy would go on to star in some games of his own, race Karts, and eventually become a successful hip hop media mogul.
Game Appearances:
Donkey Kong Country series
Donkey Kong Land series
Diddy Kong Racing series
Donkey Konga series
DK King Of Swing
DK Jungle Climber
several Mario sports titles
Diddy is very nimble and his acrobatics should help players maneuver around some of the trickier Smash Bros levels. He also wields a peanut popgun and rocketbarrel booster.

Based on Diddy Kong’s gadgets and acrobatics, how would you rate him in Brawl?

I would rate him more at 120%. He’s unique, but doesn’t look as deadly as some other characters. I’ve heard he plays very differrent

I might use him - I was always a fan of Falco in SSBM and Diddy Kong looks sort of like a Falco with more air time

I think you meant to say “antagonist”
And also don’t forget Diddy’s appearance in MK:DD (or is that considered a “mario sports” title?)

A necessity, as far as I’m concerned.
