I’m all for customizing systems into other things, but when you make something that is bigger than the original I just think that is wasteful. Not to mention if that thing were to hit the floor all the pieces were fly all over the place, unless you glued them together.
I’ve always loved the good old gray NES, so I can’t imagine why you’d want to remove one of the system’s biggest charms and turn it into a lego thing. But at the same time, I think it’s fairly brilliant and if he likes it, then that’s all that matters.
It doesn’t look too bad, it’s kind of cool that the controller ports float” independently but having it stuck to that huge base is just bad taste. I’m sure something better could be worked out.
If it’s larger I wouldn’t mind, as long as it doesn’t become even bigger with wasted space (that base).
I enjoy looking at mods like these, especially those all-in-one types.
