Rayman Legends delayed into 2013

Disappointing news to report, but the wait for Rayman Legends just got a bit longer, as the title has been delayed into the Q1 of 2013. The game was originally slated to release shortly after the Wii U launch in late November/early December, whereas in the UK it was a launch title. But, the development team at Ubisoft Montpellier felt the need to polish the game to ensure it surpassed its predecessor.

In a statement from Ubisoft: “We’re happy that fans are excited about the game, and we are taking the time to make sure we deliver a game that lives up to and hopefully exceeds their expectations. We’ll have more details to share soon.”

This delay, however, does not change the amount of Wii U North American launch titles, which still remain at 23. Only 12 titles will now be available when the console launches in the UK.

To ease the slight annoyance of this news, enjoy the above Rayman Legends Gamescom trailer.

    Of course.

Going up against NSMB U would kinda be suicide wouldn’t it? I’d rather them polish the game to perfection, and delay it a month or two.

A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is bad forever.

Also, great podcast! (I got my pokemon in the mail btw, thanks Eugene.) Keep it up, and I really hope that Pure Nintendo succeeds!

One more thing… linear games have better story lines. 🙂 Just thought you should know? haha

If you want to quote Miyamoto properly, it’s “a bad game is bad forever” not “a rushed game is bad forever” XP Sorry to be nitpicky

That’s why there wasn’t quotes. Thanks though, it was what I based the statement on.
