Looks pretty good, but just a few too many Infadvertisements, methinks. I also miss that classy DS lite logo at the top.
Otherwise, thumbs up!

I liked the old layout better. The banner along the top was top notch and I find the new layout to be too big and way too spread out. That said, I won’t stop coming just because it makes my eyes bleed.

hmmm The RSS button could be bigger….
May 10th, 2007 at 6:29 pm
@Fes
HAHAHA. I luvs it!

The site design is secondary to content. You never see it if you use an RSS feeder anyway.
I think this is generally a good blog but it covers too much. Fanboys playing video game theme songs on their guitar and kids running around in overalls are good examples. Save that stuff for the forums. Less is more.
“What are you doing/playing this weekend?” Who cares?

Nice. And it just got a lot better after the poll didn’t take me to a new page which is awesome. Also, the comments are a lot easier because you don’t have to type in that annoying code or choose between anonymous and all the stuff.

@clint
I kinda like the fact that it covers a little more than most do. Frankly, I’m tired of hearing the phrase “Less is more.” Whatever happened to “The more the merrier?”
As for my thoughts on the site, It’s wonderful. A new Infendo Radio Logo would be nice. I think everyone is bothered by the little stuff. after blake works out a couple of kinks, this place will be kickin’ it old skool.

2 things i dont lik3:
1. too many ads
2. text leans to close to the left side of the screen
May 10th, 2007 at 7:51 pm
Text is a bit too large, methinks.
May 10th, 2007 at 8:06 pm
I personally love it. The Text is perhaps a touch too large, BUT, unlike (apparently) many others, I REALLY like the main Infendo banner at the time. When I think “Infendo” I think RED, unlike the DS banner that you guys have been using that had cheesy font tacked on top.
The ads are many but not overbearing, and I understand why they’re there.
Overall, I’d give it an A- or a 9/10!
Nice job – best yet, in my opinion
Here’s to the future of Infendo!
Oh, and Dan (above), I think it’s just your Internet Browser. On my Mac, the text is well centered!

Looking pretty nice. I voted the last option. Just gimme my Nintendo fix and I’m happy. :p
May 10th, 2007 at 9:09 pm
What droop4 said about it being to far left. Its fine if you have enough screen space, but if you shrink your browser, it forces the text against the far left side. Adding a padding of a few pixels would resolve this, and wouldn’t be to hard to fix.
May 10th, 2007 at 9:43 pm
@ All the people who think the text is too large,
You could resize it in Firefox. Click View, go to Text size and adjust.
And, I really don’t understand the problem of all of the text being on the left side. It wouldn’t make any difference (To me) if the text was on the left, right, center, or whatever. Just as long as I can read it.
May 10th, 2007 at 9:45 pm
Not bad.
Not bad at all.
But, it was fine as it was, chane just for the sake of change it looks like here.

I dig the redesign, but I went with the last option. The main thing for me is the info. Keep it coming!
May 10th, 2007 at 10:19 pm
Honestly didn’t even notice. I use Google Reader.
May 10th, 2007 at 10:36 pm
I dont know…ever since i got my elite my love for wii and all related news has decreased
May 10th, 2007 at 10:43 pm
I’d appreciate some margins on the left side of the screen. On my monitor all the text is shmooshed to the extreme left side with no space away from the very edge of the screen. That makes reading the articles on the site a little hard on the eyes.
May 10th, 2007 at 11:10 pm
Over all I think it looks pretty good. The Content portion is easy to read. I am not a fan of all white and I am not real wild about the red although the name and slogan look great. The biggest thing the page needs is Mario. Maybe if you had a cartoonist buddy he could draw you a new one, wink wink
Still like the site and love the pod cast (you may want to add Kyle to the graphic) keep up the great work,
G

I suggest you guys move the text- too many ppl mentioned it’s a bit annoying.
May 11th, 2007 at 5:33 am
Have to chime in with clint – the ‘fluff’ just gets in the way of the more thought provoking stories, headlines and features.
May 11th, 2007 at 9:09 am
First and foremost, I miss the simplicity of the other site. Having said that, this seems a little more like something you’d see on a Nintendo site. It could be the same amount of advertising as before but it feels like a whole lot more now. If it is the same amount, that speaks volumes about the other design because it didn’t feel like as much. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about more ads, I’m all about you guys harvesting as much revenue as you can possible get. Just a little constructive criticism. I’m just a fan of the KISS rule.
Although I haven’t tried it yet, I’m assuming that the bigger elements of this site would translate better in Opera for Wii, which I also assume was a design goal. I’ll wrap up with something positive, which is the formatting style of the news items/posts. Much easier to read, navigate & post to and easier to interpret the headers. Keep up the great site. This is one of my 3 news sites I check each day!

I agree with Clint. Some of the slightly-video-game-related articles just aren’t necessary. I do like the new about Nintendo and information on specific games; like release dates, what’s in it, what’s coming out this week and next week, etc. More of all that game stuff, please!
May 11th, 2007 at 2:37 pm
Guys in case you didnt’t realize a lot of sites are now becoming more and more “opera-wii friendly” that’s why you see the bigger font and buttons. This site looks great on my TV!
May 11th, 2007 at 4:12 pm
The new site makes it feel like a more popular site, which I don’t necessarily like, I prefer having a smaller community-oriented site. That aside, as someone with an enormous amount of experience in web design, the text in the left column is far too close to the left edge (one pixel of padding?!) and I think the right column is too big.
May 11th, 2007 at 4:42 pm
Nice job, however I liked the previous design better. It felt more open and everything wasn’t just as tight as it is now. This design feels more “stuck in a frame/box”.
What could be better?
1. Add more margins to the left. When viewing this site from Wii (as I am right now), it makes the text hard to read.
2. Move the “current poll” above the “most popular”. It just makes more sense to me. =)
3. In the bottombar, the red text/links is impossible to read on my TV due to the contrast of the grey background. May look better on my PC, still no good color-combo.

It just needs more boobs… boobs make any party fun!
