Sad news today for people who got all hot and bothered about the Xbox 360’s apparent “victory” over the Wii in Japan this week. It didn’t happen.
New numbers out of Media Create show that Microsoft did indeed sell about 28,681 Xbox 360 units in Japan (28,188, according to Media Create), as Famitsu reported earlier. What was incorrect were the Wii numbers, which turned out to be about 29,686. Too bad so sad.
If these numbers hold, consider my prediction about new Wii colors to be slightly less accurate than before (and it was a stretch to begin with).
