Another week of new releases, but no love for Wii again.

Nintendo DS:
- Diddy Kong Racing DS
- Lunar Knights
- Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007

Game Boy Advance:
- Final Fantasy VI Advance

Who’s buying what?

Of this whole lot, FF VI looks like the sweetest deal, and I’m not saying that just because I am a GBA freak…

  2. Jack says:

I’ve never heard of ‘what,’ so I’m not buying it.

That said, Final Fantasy looks like a tempting pick up for a looming business trip, while Diddy looks to be a way to capitalize on all the fools who don’t realize they can have the same game in Mario Kart DS.

  3. Will says:

I’m gonna try and pick up Lunar Nights and or Final Fantasy VI Advance. Lunar Nights looks really good, IMO.

I was very excited about the prospect of a new Diddy Kong Racing game, until I read that it is merely an upgraded port of the Nintendo 64 classic.

If I wanted to play the old game, I’d pop it in my Nintendo 64 and play it. I certainly wouldn’t re-buy it for my DS.

    Wii/DS Ports = teh suckage.

whatya mean no love for Wii? Super Mario World ain’t enough this week?

I’m getting myself one of those…!

  7. Lino says:

I’ll definitely be looking forward to FF6 (about darn time that came about).

DK racing I’m still not sure about. I wonder how Lunar Knights is, boktai was fun but WAY too repetitive.

  8. Bildo says:

Lunar Knights for sure, been waiting for a Boktai without the dumb sun sensor for a while now. :)

  9. Vincent says:

I’m sorry but Diddy Kong Racing > Mario Kart 64. I just had more fun playing it. Mario Kart as far as I remember only had racing. At least Diddy Kong doesn’t have snaking.

@kuRta!_eRt: I was about to say a port of a 10 year old game doesn’t count but then of course I remembered Final Fantasy VI was up there.

Final Fantasy is what I would probably get though. I’m on a quest to obtain every numbered Final Fantasy game.

  10. prguitarman says:

Definitely getting Final Fantasy VI tomorrow!

  11. prguitarman says:

    @ Vincent

They totally butchered and destroyed this ‘port’ of Diddy Kong Racing. The only thing that actually *almost* justifies it is the idea of Wifi racing.

  12. kuRta!_eRt says:

@ Vincent: I’m glad you didn’t say it then :D BTW this game is able to make (a few) tons of people happy this week.

Diddy Kong is not really my deal… I think this is a bit too Kiddy, soft and is made for people who can’t snake with Mkart.

I want Mario Kart Wii… Think one of these two pics is mkwii?

    @kuRta!_eRt -

Of your two pictures, the first one is from the Mario Kart arcade game (from Japan) and the second one looks REALLLLLLLLY fake.

  14. kuRta!_eRt says:

thought so… a bit too much wishfull thinking eh?!

    About diddy kong ds:
Only get it if u want it for the wifi because the 1player is exactly the same.

On wifi, it looks that dkds > mkds because it has many modes (incluying battle) available over wifi, uses every track in the game, and uses the microphone. Also, your friend roster will tell you if ur friends are offline, online, in a game, or hosting a game.

  16. Rollin says:

    Wow, that wifi sounds tight.

What’s the verdict on Winning Eleven DS and Lunar Knights, gang?
