New Game Get – Beatles Rock Band, Muramasa, and Contra Rebirth!

Beatles Rock Band

This week’s big release is The Beatles: Rock Band, but you have to admit that Muramasa looks pretty awesome, too. Guitar Hero is switching their downloadable content exclusively to GH5 and it looks like they’re trying to counteract Beatlesmania with some Rolling Stones. Rock Band 2 continues to get a ton of DLC with some Talking Heads and some Penny Arcade Expo tracks. And OMG … Contra Rebirth!!

Muramasa is awesome… Ridiculously awesome. It’s one of those rare games that had so much love and care put into it that every scene is dripping with passion. Amazing stuff.

I’d like to elaborate, buy my girl Mohohime is lustily calling out to me… Better get back to finding her soul…

  2. Jamie says:

Ooooh nice.. Kryptonite on RB2, very nice. I have to limit myself though, college starts again in 2 weeks, I just bought Dissidia on the PSP, I’ll have to make do with that for now.
I do still have a 2000 nintendo points card sitting on my shelf though, was keeping it in case some decent DSi games came out, Contra Rebirth could be a sale though, I never did play the original so I may have to try it out.

  3. John says:

How come you guys never made a post about Scribblenauts? Only 2 weeks now.

I was wondering when Rebirth was coming. I”m REALLY hoping companies take notice and keep up the 8 bit/16 bit old school sequels. This is the perfect thing for WiiWare IMHO. We already have Mega Man 9, now Contra Rebirth….how about a new WiiWare Castlevania game? Or throw us a bone and give us a WiiWare Zelda. Heck I’d love a WiiWare Super Mario Bros. game.

Speaking of Contra, does anyone have any clue as to why the original NES Contra isn’t available on VC yet? Super C has been out a long time, as has Contra 3. Seems strange the first one isn’t. If they can get that and Hard Corps (Genesis) on the VC, and if someday we can get the Game Boy/GBA VC like we want and get Operation C, then we could own all the Contra games worth owning. Yes….I don’t count any of the PS or PS2 titles because for the most part, they are awful.

  5. Infendo Readership says:

Hating music games is totally in, so I’m SO not going to buy Beatles: Rock Band and enjoy playing some of the greatest songs ever written!

Murumasa has me enthralled. The best 2d action game in the last 10 years, no hyperbole.
