PRESS RELEASE – Step onto your Wii Balance Board™ or grab your Wii Remote™ and Nunchuk™ and hit the fresh powder as NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., today announced We Ski™, an exciting skiing game for WiiTM. Now up to four skiers can experience the sweetest mountain runs in the comfort of their homes as We Ski’s highly responsive and intuitive controls take them down the slopes like never before. We Ski will slalom into stores in Spring 2008.
“We are thrilled to be the first publisher to offer a realistic and enjoyable skiing experience that can also support the new Wii Balance Board,” said Todd Thorson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. “NAMCO BANDAI is working to entertain both casual gamers and hardcore enthusiasts with a recreation of a beloved sport and pastime.
In We Ski, up to four skiers can test their skills on more than a dozen runs from the bunny slopes to the most challenging Black Diamonds. Not only can players carve through the trails using the motion-based controls but they can also mix in the Wii Balance Board for a whole new level of realism. Players can ski using their own Mii™ or create a new character with a host of customizable options including changeable face and body types. Boosting the customization feature, additional skis, poles, goggles, and costumes can be unlocked.
We Ski features an entire mountain to explore, complete with a ski school, freestyle skiing, moguls and slaloms, photography, and a variety of other events. With We Ski no more long drives to the snow will be necessary to enjoy a day of shredding the mountains.

Isn’t this ironic, I just decided to get SSX3 while I was waiting to preorder Brawl. If you ask me, snow sports are great on video games, and this looks promising. Maybe they’ll put in snowboarding.

One word…AWESOME! This is exactly why Wii is blowing away the competition…if you could even call it that. New, original, awesome experiences that can only be had with motion control. 2008 had been looking kind of blah as far as software goes. Brawl, MK, and WiiFit was about it, but with more surprise like this we are in for another great year. I have owned SSXBlur for some time now and it’s not bad, but by the sound of this I may just scrap Blur. Count me in on We Ski! Wonder what the other 9 or so games for the Balance Board will be. Oh and this is just the beginning.

I agree, this sounds really good. My only concern might be just how sensitive the Wii board is going to be. But it sounds like Namco is trying to do this thing right. From letting you use your own Mii, to shooting photos, to multiple skiing experiences. This sounds really promising. I hope this ushers in a whole new era of realistic games using the Wiiboard.

In that still shot, the graphics look pretty good to me. I just hope there is a true sense of speed to it.

It does look pretty and sounds like a good idea, although obviously an easy choice of game for (balance) ‘board’ control.
I hope that the controls work well. I might end up picking this up.
The only problem I have with other ski games and the main reason why I dont buy them is because they are all abotu fast paced, thin (but long) courses and trying to do stupidly unrealistic tricks. Whereas this, from the screen shot and info, can be seen as very open ended and almost explorable game.

Finally the real thing- no more ripoffs! Enhancement Patches are hot right now, VERY hot! Unfortunately, most are cheap imitiations and do very little to increase your size and stamina.
Well this is the real thing, not an imitation! One of the very originals, the absolutely strongest Patch available, anywhere!
Check out the site for more info TODAY, you’ll be glad you did.
