Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class kart is heading to Mario Kart 8 in the west

The official Nintendo of America Twitter account has announced that the GLA-Class kart from Mercedes-Benz is heading to western copies of Mario Kart 8.

Mario Kart 8 owners in Japan were already treated to this unusual bit of DLC, so it’s nice to see the same thing heading our way. Of course, this makes us all hope that more extensive DLC is on the way for Mario Kart 8. What else would you like to see?

  1. Lord Lemmy says:

I want to see new/returning characters. I especially want King Boo to return. He’s more relevant now than he was for MKWii.

BUT I think DLC might come in the form of Amiibo. I honestly can’t think of what other reason MK8 would even have Amiibo in the first place, and we know they said they plan on doing it for MK8 at E3.

  2. Holly says:

Yeah, it’s been said a thousand times, but there are way too many baby characters in this game. More variety is much needed.

  3. Breyfunk says:

I hope this is just the start, I really want to see additional tracks as DLC, even if it’s just tracks that were previously used at retro courses in other MK games.

  4. WD3 says:

I agree with the above ideas of past tracks and characters. However if they are going to do this kind of cross-branding, I think a 50th anniversary Mustang is in order!

  5. Holly says:

I wouldn’t say no to that myself!
