R.O.B.
The Robotic Operating Buddy was released in an attempt to get the NES into toy stores that didn’t want to sell video game systems. Only two R.O.B. games were produced, but this didn’t stop from ingraining him in the minds of classic video gamers around the world.

One of the heaviest characters from Mario Kart DS, R.O.B. has been given much more nimble controls. Eyes that shoot lasers and other attacks make R.O.B. a robot you don’t want to mess with!
His unexpected entry into the Smash Bros series, nostalgia, and his fighting style earn R.O.B. the coveted top spot on our Smash-O-Meter!

After watching his gameplay vids on youtube, I thought he looked like one of the worst characters in the game!

Actually after watching his gameplay videos on youtube I tend to think the opposite. He looks like he will be a very interesting chacerter to play as.

It was fun doing this series, and seeing the huge variety of reactions. Can’t wait to play some BRAWL!

Biggest disappointment ever. We could have got someone cool like Black Shadow or Geno or Little Mac but instead we got a shoddy peripheral from the 1980s that barely worked. Come on, Nintendo. The nostalgia factor with R.O.B. was ok in Mario Kart but don’t stick him in my Brawl.
R.O.B was in Starfox 64 too!

That was clearly a different ROB, as they look nothing alike. Although his name may have been inspired by the original.
Probably won’t give this guy much of a chance when I get this game in 2 days, but who knows?
