This may be just my ignorance as I don’t know much about the new game, but why does wario, of all characters have a traditional cart instead of a bike… or do you get to choose your transportation between bike and cart?
I haven’t been following Mario Kart Wii due to not having a Wii at the moment, so this is the first time I’ve seen a video. From just this viewing, it doesn’t appear there’s anything dramatic added to the game, although it does look slick and like typical Mario Kart fun.
This game looks to be a spiritual sequel to Mario Kart DS, and I don’t think it looks any slower than that game was. Graphically I would have liked detail more along the lines of Double Dash, however I don’t mind the visuals. I think people should hold their judgement until they get a chance to play it.
Looks like a lot of fun.

In before sexual innuendo jokes about splitting peachs split…
Didn’t cover my tracks good enough did i?
Um…since when was Donkey Kong so…vocal? What’s with all this “OH YEAH” and “WOAH-O”? I’m just used to the ol’ monkey-screams. Bowser sounds weird too.
Strange, strange.
@leloup: I heard that you do choose your mode of transportation: Bike or Kart.
They took a lot from DS.
50cc = kart
100cc = bike
150cc = your choice
multiplayer = your choice (i assume)
^ speaking of battle mode of course.
Wow, no wrong jokes about “splits”?
