Infendo Contest reminder – win Punch-Out for Wii!
Friday, May 15th, 2009 at 12:00pm by David
Infendo is giving away one copy of the upcoming Punch-Out for Wii. To enter, send us a jpg of a Nintendo game re-imagined in the classic Atari 2600 box styles of yesteryear. It can be any Nintendo game, but the box art should have that retro style of the late 70’s and early 80’s. Do you have crazy photoshop skills? They might help, but originality is key in this contest.
Email your entry to tips@infendo.com by 5PM Eastern time on May 18th, 2009. The copy of Punch-Out will be the region locked version that comes out in the US, but we’ll gladly ship it anywhere. Infendo writers and podcasters are ineligible for this contest, but will serve as a panel of judges. Or I like to think of it as a crucible. That’s way cooler. Anyway, GOOD LUCK!

Can you send in more than 1 entree?

Yes, you can have more than 1 entree, but only one dessert! Seriously, though, enter as many times as you can create a new box!

Oh, cool! Funny thing is, I just ran a contest on my DeviantART for other members to do something kind of similar to this (the winner was awesome).
I’ll enter if I have the time!

I keep getting a message sent to my inbox saying my entry hasn’t been received yet. Kyle… You might want to check your email!

@Devin
Apparently the pod-cast (I think is what they said) is causing this problem. I emailed and asked the same thing, and was assured that they did indeed receive my entries (they had them right there in front of them).
So go ahead and send in your entries, and feel confident that they are getting to the right people.

David:
Curious, are you referring to the “box art” of the old cartridges, or the actual graphics/sprites of the classic games? Some of those games had way over the top cover art that had little to nothing resembling the actual game graphics….even more so, a great deal of them had little more than just a text label on the cartridge…..

N/M…..I clicked on the samples….

Great! I was afraid you had canceled it…I went looking for the article last night for the deadline and couldn’t find it anywhere.
I hope I’m able to scrap together enough time to submit my entry.

I hope it doesn’t have to be a game made by Nintendo. I already started doing a 3rd party title and I’m kind of almost done.
May 16th, 2009 at 9:31 pm
Now I’m done.
May 18th, 2009 at 3:18 pm
Oh, did it had to be ONLY from 1st party games?
Oh shoot…I made a 3rd party title too :’( I was so proud of my entry…sigh..

Благодарю. Появилась еще одна идея, но требует полной реорганизации предыдущей идеи, займусь в ближайшем будущем. Позже поделюсь с читателями блога!
