are those 3d or 2d models? the first looks too good to be wii 3d to me, but it’s also an angle you dont play the game at, so i’m not sure. it’s a cut scene?
Ever seen elfyourself or others of its ilk (or say Southpark’s rendition of Saddam)? I think this game is a bit like that. They take photographs of bodyparts, most likely from only a handful of angles, and in this case paste them as textures on a 3d skeleton. The effect is OTT stop-motion-like awesomeness with stecatto expressions and limb angles but smooth motion that’s totally do-able on the Wii.
yeah it’s wrong only because the original was two on two as well. it gave you more room to manuever without wondering where your player is. with turbo running, on-fire shots, and slam dunks that resemble acrobatics it’s much better when you can see the action.

I was so excited when I heard about this but looking at it just makes me want to play the original instead.

I like the look. So much more emotion than the normally sedate 3D rendered faces on most sports games.

I’ll be curious to see how it looks in motion. If it animates well, it could be a lot of fun, but I’m nervous about it just looking creepy.

I like Joe H’s comment! It IS NBA JibJab!
It just looks FUN, like the old days, but now with realistic facial emotions!

The big heads mode looks a bit creepy. Think I’ll have to see it in motion before making up my mind.

If this isn’t fake…
.. then it’s epic.

I… Don’t like it 0.0

Wow! That looks really fun. I never played the orignal game, but I wish this was the normal 5 on 5. Is that wrong?
Also, it better not be $50. That’s almost turning into my new Wii rule for most titles. I say $40 at most.
