Happy Kid Icarus Day!

Kid Icarus Uprising is sweeping more than one Infendo writer through its hectic, spectacular adventure today, and we hope many of you are also having a great time with this title. Look for Infendo’s review soon. In the meantime…three cheers for the 3DS AR function finally getting some love! The 6 random cards included in the game’s case are beautifully done as stand-alones, but when you actually place them together and watch them spring to animated life, battling each other, knocking off hit points…let’s just say I’m hooked on collecting these little wonders.

My game came with Pit, Dark Pit, Palutena, Three-Headed Hewdrew, Mik and Fortune Bow. Which cards did you get?

I got Pit, Magnus, Stackjaw, Milk, First Blade and Standard orbitars. Does anyone know how many cards there are going to be?

So far, Nintendo has simply stated, “hundreds.” The 6 included with the game are randomly selected from a specific starter group of 20. Nintendo’s site has info on where to get more cards right now and in the next couple of weeks (hint: you’ll probably want to grab the next issue of Nintendo Power.)

In the meantime, check out these sites for some scans. They’re not as cool as having the physical cards, but they work!

This is the most fun bonus feature I’ve ever seen included in a game. Can you imagine if a 3DS Pokemon game incorporated this element, and the cards were sold in packs in game stores? Ka-ching!

It’s such an awesome game! I’m loving it so far, just finished chapter 6 I think. Totally awesome, and I’m very impressed at how well it looks, and plays! 🙂

You can get 12 cards for 250 points on Club Nintendo, Europe. Not sure if its on the US one. They’re fairly expensive on ebay so don’t think i’ll be collecting them all, will get a few though!

Nice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs everyday. It’ll always be stimulating to read content from different writers and practice somewhat something from their store. I’d favor to make use of some with the content material on my weblog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll offer you a hyperlink on your net blog. Thanks for sharing.
