According to a post from the NeoGAF forums, Nintendo of America will be releasing a special edition Fire Emblem: Awakening 3DS bundle for North America. In addition, NoA also confirmed earlier this week that an Awakening demo will be made available on the 3DS eShop on January 17th. Details, most specifically the price, for the 3DS Fire Emblem bundle are scarce at the moment, but it should be made ready available by the time the game launches in North America on February 4th.

Fire Emblem: Awakening will be the first in the series to grace Nintendo’s current handheld, and the game will boast new online features. Aside from the series’ turn-based gameplay and, at times, harsh difficulty, Awakening will include future downloadable content in the form of new class types, skills, playable characters, and maps with new storylines. 3DS-centric features such as SpotPass and StreetPass will be included as well.

For those who are still non-3DS owners (including myself, yet I’m antsy to make the purchase fairly soon), will this bundle be enticing enough for you? Let us know in the comments below.

For years, he has purchased every one of the company's subsequent products (yes, including the Virtual Boy and eReader). It wasn't until he was a young teen when he bought a PS2 that he began to embrace cross-console relations, a decision he doesn't regret. When he's not gaming, Harrison is looking to break into the magazine journalism industry and realize his dream of becoming a features reporter.
