Nintendo Power unveils new Trauma Center

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008 at 12:51pm by Derek

tcenter.jpgNintendo Power has revealed that a new Trauma Center game is in development for Nintendo DS.

According to the May ‘08 issue, the new title is a direct sequel to 2005’s Under the Knife. Players resume the role of Dr. Derek Stiles, accompanied again by Nurse Angie, as they face the aftermath of the GUILT virus and decipher its terrible mysteries.

The magazine also revealed the DS sequel has an easier setting for novice players and wider accessibility, as well as refinements to some surgical tools. Old characters will return and new ones will be introduced in an overly dramatic all-new story with new operations.

Nintendo Power did not specify exactly when the game would be available, but the latest Famitsu has revealed an Aug. 7 release date. Expect an official announcement from Atlus soon.

Thank god it has an easier setting. I gave up on the first one after getting to the later levels.

    Agreed.

Hopefully Atlus took some cues from the Wii iterations of Trauma Center, which have been vastly improved with each subsequent release.

Hahahaha, really reefinyateef? Well, the last levels are difficult but not immposibles, I left the game for a half year, but took determination and courage and finished the game XD XD XD

GUILT is too difficult, specially the worm that split after cut it, like a tapeworm.

Let’s hope they slap together a Wii port of this sequel and charge me $50 for it!

I’ve never played any of these games, but I’ve heard good things… I guess more of a good thing isn’t bad…

    I can’t wait.
Yeah, the first DS is uber-hard in the beginning; I still need to beat the DS version, even though I beat the Wii version (Second Opinion).
I wonder what they will consider easier?

    It’s about time!
I honestly can’t see myself playing the Wii versions. I just can’t imagine sitting across the room from the person you’re doing surgery on. Plus, the game is so dependent on being presice, I don’t think I could do it.

redjarman: Honestly, the Wii version are better, like…x1,000. And surprisingly, you’re afforded MORE precision and speed with the Wii remote.
