Cal band does Mario, Nintendo favorites at halftime
Thursday, November 15th, 2007 at 8:43am by JackForgive me for ruining the Super Mario Galaxy lovefest (98%, y’all, ain’t review score grand? :-P) with a video, but this performance by the Cal band at halftime features Mario and got me all choked up with pride. Enjoy.
[Thanks, Will!]

OMG! that is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen!!! I’m never really into football of any kind but that is one hell of a half time show, I’d pay to see the match just to get in on that!

That is a great half time show. They had some excellent formations. Can’t say I agree with the choice of football team though

If only LSU’s band did something like this. They’re effing huge (and they sound great).

jamie took the words right out of my mouth. I can’t stand football, but I’d have payed to get in there just to see that halftime show. Especially to see it right side up. I couldn’t believe it when I heard Mortal Kombat. (Not that I’m a huge fan. Just that they’d use it, as it’s a rare choice in game music. Plus that was more from the movie than the game.) And I’ve always thought the pokemon theme was great, but it really, really works when played by marching band.

That was phenomenal! I would have to liked to have seen it right side up, but it wasn’t too hard to figure out the shapes upside down. Truly amazing.

SERIOUSLY! That was intense. The choreography seriously made everything happen. I went crazy when they did Pokemon and Zelda.

That is simply amazing, there are no words. That Triforce formation along with the theme, gave me the chills.
Amazing.
