Mega Man has hit WiiWare firing.
VGChartz is reporting Mega Man 9 has sold 60,000 downloads in its first day on WiiWare, surpassing the lifetime sales totals of all but six WiiWare titles. In one day.
Mega Man 9 sold more copies in one day than the first Strongbad WiiWare title sold in one month.
This figure was calculated using Wii Shop Channel rankings from North American Wii markets alongside historical sales data calculated from Nintendo Channel usage data, according to VGChartz.
Translation? Mega Man 10 confirmed.

I always wondered how many “hardcore” Nintendo fans were glued to the web. Now I know.

MegaMan 10?
MegaMan VIII, MegaMan IX… MegaMan X. Nope. Forget it. Game already exists. No 10.

@ Protector One
You are wrong, the ‘X’ in Megaman X it isn’t roman numerals…
thats why you get Megaman X2, X3, X4 etc. etc.
Megaman X was like the ‘Z’ in Dragon Ball, the next generation.

Awesome to hear. I hope this means we get a nice influx of classic games reborn. Castlevania anyone? Or how about some TMNT 5?!

TOO GOOD.

I haven’t gotten the chance to download it yet, but as soon as I get some points that’s THE FIRST thing I’m downloading.
Hopefully Capcom will see that as a blessing to actually make Mega Man 10 and X9 (X9 being 16 bit of course).
But I agree with XCWarrior, Give us some classic style Castlevania, and a good TMNT game that can be better, if not surpass that of TMNT 4 Turtles in Time (Best of the TMNT franchise).
BUt also, Nintendo would be fools not to create a new 16-bit Zelda game that features DLC for new locations and weapons and all that, as well as a new Mario/Metroid game in the 16 bit with DLC.
