Yoshi! He’s the little critter on our first inagural Name That Character extravaganza. Greatslack and Fuzz got it right.
If you guys liked the lil concept, we’ll do it again. Let us know in the comments.
Odd fact: Blake has never played Yoshi’s island. Really, I never have, though I’ve heard wonderful things about it.

I actually just played Yoshi’s Island for the first time using an emulator. I finally understood why it is ranked among the best platformers by so many gamers. Because of my experience with the emulated version, I went out and purchased the remake for the GBA, and of course the new version for the DS. The original is an ageless classic for sure.

WHAT?! Yoshi’s Island is my favorite game EVAR. If it comes out on the virtual console, you better buy it. I mean it.
Fuzz, the HTML entities should work. Use “gt;” or “lt;” with ampersands (&) in front of them. Er, let me test that theory first:

Yeah, the HTML entities work. The reason you got cut off, Fuzz, is because it interpreted your greater than symbol as an (X)HTML tag.

I’d like to see more Name That Character posts.
Yoshi’s Island…when I originally got it when I was around six, I didn’t really appreciate it. Now however…now that I’m much older and can really play the game and understand it, I find it to be nothing short of stunning. The art style, the premise, the MUSIC (Athletic is one of my favorite Kondo tunes of all time), the level design, the variety, the whole experience…simply amazing. A true SNES classic that will hopefully sell well when put on Virtual Console.
