So the DS can talk in Thai, it can listen and obey simple (doggy) commands, and now it can see you make funny faces! That’s right, the latest DS accessory that’s making the blog rounds is Nintendo’s official DS Camera that comes bundled with their new game: DS Face Training for Adults, or Facening.
According to Joystiq, the game is hosted by Fumiko Inudo (a Japanese face/skin care expert), and the game helps you to improve the appearance of your face by training it to make different expressions. The game comes out on August 2nd in Japan, however no US release plans have been disclosed. As other blogs surmise, it seems unlikely that Nintendo would release such a complex accessory without other intended uses beyond “Facening,” but no plans have been unveiled. Infendo readers need not fear as my new job (in Japan) officialy starts August 1st, so I will be there release day to give a full account of the game and the bundled camera.
