Amid massive infighting, Infendo Radio canceled this week

INFENDO HEADQUARTERS— Egos collided last night as Infendo Radio personnel fought and bickered over minor programming notes. “Blake is such a tool,” said a visibly distraught and out of breath Derek. “I just had to punch him. If there’s one thing I won’t tolerate, it’s a difference of opinion.” When asked how the vulgar display of power affected this weekend’s podcast recording, Infendo spokesman David Cole replied, “Yeah, it wasn’t going to happen. Fortunately, we were able to bring in an arbitrator to assuage the issue. The show goes on next week.”

lol Awesome picture, though I wonder how much of that is true :P. It’s kinda hard to punch someone through skype (or w/e you guys use).

Anyways, that’s sad.. Is it just me or is is taking longer to get the podcast out these days? I only say that because I like listening to it, and kinda miss it when it takes so long, or is missing.

In lieu of a podcast, how about a poll? A discussion topic?

Just as something to talk about, I would like to say that I believe Skyward Sword will be the best Zelda ever. Shiggy said it, and I believe the guy.
    Here’s why:
-It’s a longer than normal game, upgrades to weapons/shields/etc..
-Has a much better, and involved, story. (from what I know)
-Zelda looks like as cute as a button. 🙂
-Wiimote plus seems to be very well used.

Part of the discussion: Honestly, I’d think a 2D Zelda with an advanced form of Majora’s Mask’s gameplay would be the ultimate Zelda… mix in some 4 swords action in there through some sort of Demon’s Souls/Dark Souls co-op setup, and it’d be beautiful.

But yes, I think this’ll be the best one… just because I’m a huge fan of the Motion+.
I was never a big fan of Twilight Princess’ waggle (it kinda’ made me wanna’ puke at how fake it felt), but Motion+ will definitely agree with my body. 🙂

I miss my podcast! I used to on the site every friday at midnight so I had somethin to listen to while playin my ds.

    And for the zelda franchise

Ace- I’m hoping you are correct I need the best zelda ever in my life!

Skotski- never played majoras mask but will put it on my to-do. But I want more top down zeldas like minish cap but in 3d! I just love that classic zelda feel.

While I would love for Skyward Sword to be the greatest Zelda ever, I’ll be more than satisfied if it’s of a slightly lesser quality than Wind Waker. Personally, I rank the top 3 Zeldas as Oot, Wind Waker, then Majora’s Mask. Honestly the rest of them are tied for 4th with me, except Twilight Princess and Zelda II.

I thought Twilight Princess was an enormous disappointment, especially because the whole wolf thing was a lot like Okami. I can’t really explain it. The game had qualities about it that could understandably create an enjoyable experience, but I thought it lacked a soul; that certain charm that reeled me in with other Zelda titles. And I think the story itself lacked character development. Ganondorf just randomly appears as the main antagonist about 3/4s of the way through? I feel like if someone played Twilight Princess as their first Zelda experience, there was too much left unexplained. And even to this day the Fused Shadow still seems to be this weird estranged entity among the other more memorable items of Zelda lore, such as the Ocarina, Triforce, etc. Additionally, Shadow Link in that weird cutscene that occurs totally threw me off as well. The only good things about Twilight Princess for me are the graphical style, the Yeti, and the fact that it motivated me to purchase a Wii from the very beginning.

I’m curious, does anyone else agree, or am I just alone on this? I just feel like I’ve been stranded in limbo with the franchise since 2002 when I experienced the Wind Waker.

On a side note, I’m not a fan of remakes unless their is some drastic updating involved, but I would pay a hefty price if the Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages were completely remade with full 3D realms. Top view style was great, but I always wanted to see this done.

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one.
Well, actually, I’m NOT that one with you – mostly because I had very little time to play Wind Waker (I was into a hundred other games at that time, and while Wind Waker was interesting in looks – I simply thought “Wait a minute, I only KINDA enjoy Zelda games…” – but by everyone’s descriptions – both good and bad – it sounded like my type of game), but there are MANY who believe that Wind Waker was the best Zelda. Or as they call it: “Celda”.

It’s just… you know how when something releases, all you hear are the whiners, complainers, and haters? That’s because everyone who loves it, is playing it and is too busy to respond. … also people think “I LOVE THIS GAME” responses are wasteful as they often add very little to a discussion, but a “I HATE THIS GAME” response is well-received as it continues a discussion in details of criticism.
…yeah, that TOTALLY happened with Celda.

But just making sure: Are you saying that Twilight Princess just didn’t have a soul, or that BECAUSE it was like Okami during its wolf parts it didn’t have a soul? …because if you’re saying the latter, I’d heavily disagree with that. Okami had LOTS of soul.
But I’ll agree with you that TP had very little character compared to the other Zeldas… though I did like Midna.

  11. NNNNNoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  12. Blaise says:

Oh no I don’t think the similarities with Okami is the reason why it lacked character, it was just an aspect that I disliked in addition to the lack of soul I referred to earlier.

I loved Okami as well, though I have yet try the DS version. Although, I really enjoyed the brief demo on the Nintendo Channel.
