Geometry Wars is better on Wii

Wired’s Chris Kohler played a little of the new Geometry Wars Galaxies (well, new to the Wii anyway) at PAX, and came away a content little blogger.
This might get me in trouble, but Geometry Wars Galaxies is way more fun on Wii than it was on the Xbox 360. I didn’t play that much of the 360 game, but the simple change — pointing with the Wiimote to aim your shots rather than use a second analog stick — made the whole thing so much more intuitive for me.
Of course it was Chris. I hope you enjoyed the Wii/Nintendo Kool-Aid. I’m on my hundredth cup. One complaint: This title might not be worth the typical $50 Wii price.

I didn’t think Geometry Wars was going to be a $50 game….thought it was going to be one of those $29 or $39 games…?

Hmm.. for $50, probably not. But for $30, it’s as good as done.
Hopefully they’ll take the hint from other developers who have done this..

I don’t think it’ll be a 50$ game

Didn’t really like Geometry Wars on 360. I don’t think this will pursuade me either. If it’s not priced at $50, I might give it a try.

The game will be $39.99 for the Wii and $29.99 for the DS.
I can’t recall where I read this… perhaps in that big preview IGN did a few months back.

gamestop says $40 for wii,
$30 DS
$40 for wii isnt too bad. i like how many publishers are publishing their games $30-40 for wii this gen. not something i remember seeing last gen for any system, though i may be wrong.
the lower they start, potentially the faster they drop to $30 which is when most games feel right for me to purchase.
geometry wars is one i will consider when it gets to $30, looks intense with all the nice extras.
