Actor trashtalks Wii, won’t play with Megan Fox
Monday, June 22nd, 2009 at 11:16pm by SeanShia LaBeouf is famous for his roles in “Transformers” and “Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skulls,” but I never saw the latter and I found the former astoundingly forgettable, so I only know him as “that one famous guy who hates the Wii.”
Big Download: Have you checked out the Wii Transformers game?
Shia LaBeouf: I haven’t been able to play the Wii game because my hand is broken. I’ve just been playing Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I would imagine that the Wii experience will be like…I don’t mess with the Wii, to be honest with you. It’s kind of an amateur console. I’m not into the Wii thing.
BD: What’s wrong with the Wii?
SL: This is how in a simple way you can find out if it’s a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there.
BD: Is that why you wouldn’t play LEGO Star Wars with Megan Fox on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?
SL: Correct. Who wants to play the Wii version of LEGO Star Wars. I’d rather eat glass.
He’d rather eat glass. Wow.

Oh wow. I didn’t think I could hate him any more than I already have.
June 22nd, 2009 at 11:40 pm
This was posted last night on /v/ and stirred up quite a shitstorm.
I don’t think anyone likes Shia anymore.
June 22nd, 2009 at 11:44 pm
Another example of how being able to act and being able to think are two separate entities (or in other words, why on earth does anybody really care what actors have to say about things – from politics to rain forests to video games)
The funny thing is that the Wii will most likely outlast his career.
June 22nd, 2009 at 11:46 pm
That sounds ridiculous, why would he want to make enemies like that? It’s so pointless, statements like that is going to hunt him one way or another.
June 22nd, 2009 at 11:54 pm
What a Dick.
June 22nd, 2009 at 11:57 pm
There are 2 major issues with his thinking.
1. There is nothing wrong with the Wii. It is not amature, as he puts it. But you DO have to get up off your fat behind to play it at times. What a crying shame.
2. I’d play try to play on a sega genisis if my oponent was Megan Fox! WHAT IS HE THINKING?
June 23rd, 2009 at 12:06 am
I’m betting within 2 years dude is endorsing a Wii game.
June 23rd, 2009 at 12:19 am
I hate the LeBouf. Yes, I listen to ELR.
June 23rd, 2009 at 12:44 am
He would rather eat glass than hang out with Megan Fox? I think he needs to rethink his priorities.
June 23rd, 2009 at 12:59 am
It’s hard to take Shia LaBeouf’s comment about the Wii seriously when you consider he’s in the Transformers movie…

Twat status confirmed.
June 23rd, 2009 at 2:42 am
Awesome pic, BTW. How appropriate. The only movie i know of where he wasnt inappropriately cast, was Disturbia. In which he played a punk kid.
BB: I don’t mess with the LeBeouf, to be honest with you. It’s kind of an amateur actor. I’m not into the LeBeouf thing.
BD: What’s wrong with the LeBeouf?
BB: This is how in a simple way you can find out if it’s a person you want to hang with. Ask them if they like the LeBeouf. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there.
June 23rd, 2009 at 3:00 am
Pretty sure his feelings towards the wii match mine towards that last indiana jones flick he was in.
June 23rd, 2009 at 3:12 am
I’d rather eat glass than watch one of his movies.
June 23rd, 2009 at 3:38 am
I’ll admit he is correct (for the most part, there are always exceptions) in saying that the wii is an amateur console (dont start telling me i dont understand, i was a nintendo fanboy for years and i’ve had the wii since the release date) however amateur console or not i dont give a damn if i was playing superman 64 i would play it with meghan fox
June 23rd, 2009 at 5:26 am
LOL Watch how the untold hardcore masses, only a few years after they strung this guy up for ruining not one, but TWO beloved childhood icons, Transformers and Indiana Jones, suddenly find a “newfound respect” for this guy.
Watch him become a really important celebrity gamer too for some reason.
June 23rd, 2009 at 6:13 am
He ain’t a macho man either, so he better stop talking thrash, otherwise next time he will play with ME! And I’m no amateur!
June 23rd, 2009 at 8:34 am
Is Infendo turning into Showbiz Tonight? I could care less what people think of the Wii. We all know that more than 50 some million people have it. I enjoy it still. Who cares what actors think. I think we are turning into Jay & Silent Bob and think everything is real.
June 23rd, 2009 at 8:44 am
hahaha
as if what actors say means anything. but here it’s never good enough to just like your console, you have to defend it from the opinions of others, lest you be diminished by association with something shia doesn’t like. and the best way to attack an opinion? attack the person who has it!
here’s a headline for you: ndf assembles, whines
June 23rd, 2009 at 8:46 am
To put it another way, if Megan Fox said the Wii is amateur and she would rather eat glass than to play, would you get rid of your Wii? Childish.
June 23rd, 2009 at 9:05 am
Comments like these are lame. Who cares what this guy thinks?
As for being “amateur”, well isn’t the definition of “professional”, someone or something very good at what they do, and doing that thing for money?
Well, the Wii is the best at what consoles are supposed to do, sell. It has sold nearly as many units as the 360/PS3 combined. It has made more money than the other 2 combined will EVER make. I’d say by definition, the Wii is the most professional console. I wouldn’t call the other 2 amateur though, that would be lame. I like all 3 and enjoy all 3. To use the word amateur to refer to a modern game console is just weak.
June 23rd, 2009 at 9:22 am
“here’s a headline for you: ndf assembles, whines”
ndf? What assembles? You whole post reads like you just smashed the keyboard a bit.
I’m gonna assume NDF is an acronym for… uhh… Nintendo Defense Force? Which sort of doesn’t apply here. Sony Defense Force shows up when thrid parties threaten to abandon the system or port over exclusive games to the 360 (or Wii, in the case of Monster Hunter 3). Microsoft Defense Force shows up everytime MS posts huge losses or when Natal turned out to be a colossal joke even Stephen Colbert would make fun of. In this case, Shia is just being a preening asshat. There’s no need to “defend” Nintendo from this guy, as it continues to sell more than the others and Nintendo pulls down billions. Simply identifying him as a giant blabbering moron and bringing up that he’s kind of a shitty actor to boot isn’t a “defense” against anything.
June 23rd, 2009 at 11:48 am
“(or in other words, why on earth does anybody really care what actors have to say about things – from politics to rain forests to video games)”
Exactly….celebrities aren’t suddenly experts on things just because they are famous. Remember these same celebrities are usually the ones on TV telling us we need to make all these changes to “save the earth”…the same ones that jet around in private planes and produce more of the so called “bad stuff” in an hour than most of us do in a whole year. That’s just one example but one that is extremely irritating to me right now.
James Caan said it best : “Nobody should give a s*** what a celebrity thinks.”
June 23rd, 2009 at 12:38 pm
i already didn’t like the twit and don’t give two squirts of piss what he thinks. who cares, but i had to say you’d have to be fucking stupid to not want to play with megan fox any game on any system…hell i’d play wii bratz if she wanted to.
June 23rd, 2009 at 1:51 pm
He also hates DUIs.
June 23rd, 2009 at 3:56 pm
The guys entitled to his opinion and bitching about it just makes it more valid..
June 23rd, 2009 at 4:00 pm
But, but… he was GREAT on “Nausicaä!
I’m sooo sad now…
(Wait a minute… I don’t play with my Wii that much, either! At least not until I got that new Tiger Woods PGA Tour game… and my 360 got RRoD’d…)
June 23rd, 2009 at 4:17 pm
The wii could play this guy’s salary.
June 23rd, 2009 at 5:00 pm
What a douche.
June 23rd, 2009 at 5:21 pm
Oh, c’mon?! Amatuer? I beg to differ.
June 23rd, 2009 at 7:42 pm
The most irritating part of that whole thing is not the blathering about the Wii. That’s just “Yeah, whatever, Shia.” But answering a yes/no question with “Correct”? Who talks like that? (Aside from teachers and game-show hosts, that is.)
June 23rd, 2009 at 9:45 pm
As you can see in the picture, he’s great in bed. Just ask Gary Busey.
June 23rd, 2009 at 9:54 pm
“I would rather eat glass.” hmmmm…. we could have that arranged for you pretty easily mister Ledouche
June 23rd, 2009 at 11:17 pm
Let’s see how he feels when The Conduit sells well.
June 24th, 2009 at 3:36 pm
I was gonna write something nasty, but the picture of him with the banana sums up my sentiments perfectly. I’ll just let you guys use your imaginations. Your dirty, filthy, NSFW imaginations.
June 25th, 2009 at 10:12 am
Most young actor types are influenced by their immediate peers and usually THOSE people are influenced by whomever represents that they ‘have the money’ and let’s face it: Sony and MS flaunt around tinsel town throwing ad money around and sponsoring things that have nothing to do with them just for this reason. Somehow Nintendo still comes out on top. If Shia had the ability to think for himself, his opinion might change but for now he’ll remain an ignorant mindless drone, too worried about fitting in with all of the other mindless ad-influenced wannabe gamers in hollywood instead of thinking for himself and trying “the other” system.
Btw, if your hand was broken you wouldn’t be able to play ANY system, so WTF does that have to do with anything, whinyass? The day Shia can get on VC and beat MM9 is the day I stop writing about Sony. THAT DAY WILL NEVER COME. Shia is no gamer, thus he shouldn’t matter to any true gamer or game website. Sorry Infendo =)
June 27th, 2009 at 12:35 am
Who cares what he thinks. Transformers was lame and Indiana Jones: Crystal Skull was just a completely unnecessary, embarrassing addition to the franchise. He has yet to star in anything really worthwhile, and has already demonstrated his total ignorance about the Wii, so he can go to hell.
btw, hey Shia — I guess Nintendo isn’t “amateur” at one thing, which is handing Sony and Microsoft their butts on a platter in the videogame industry with the Wii. Darn.
June 28th, 2009 at 12:21 am
The Conduit came out.
I’m laughing at LaFag’s douchebaggery.
He did good work in the new Transformers, but I must say, the Transformers took most of his spotlight. Nyuk nyuk nyuk.
The DS Transformers was better than the Wii version, and it’s the closest you’ll get to a home console version of GTA.
