Cloudy with a chance of girlfriend

Intrigued by a recent BoingBoing post about Konami’s new and apparently addictive DS  dating sim “Love Plus” I stumbled upon a free downloadable weather widget featuring three of the game’s main girlfriend characters. The widget lets you choose a “girlfriend” to make comments on the weather based on their in-game persona.

Failure

Obviously, this is all Nintendo’s fault.

Mario Collection at the Nintendo World Store

Nintendo World recently decked out their store to be all about Mario due to the release of New Super Mario Bros Wii. They found and showcased some of the rarest, oddest products ever to be released under the Mario name.

New Super Mario Bros Wii arrives tomorrow – proceed to freak out

[phone rings]  “Hello?”  “Hi, this is Charles Martinet..” The rest of the message plays out with him adopting a Mario voice and proceeding to make a bunch of silly jokes while he proclaims that Sunday is the day to pickup my pre-ordered copy of New Super Mario Bros Wii.  This pushes me over the edge.  I’ll spend the rest of a rainy Saturday looking up reviews, vid...
