Artist, musician, gamer, and Infendo fan James Kochalka will be showing 150 paintings at an upcoming art show in NYC, including this painting of Link. The artist says:

Some are inspired by classic videogames (particularly the ghosts in Pac-man), others are the pure product of my imagination.

The show will be at Giant Robot in New York, February 17 – March 14.

I love James Kochalka. He writes rock music using a Game Boy (and makes videos for them using the Game Boy camera!)

Anyway, I highly recommend his simple yet humble web comic, American Elf. It may not be laugh-out-loud funny most days, but it is warm and inviting.

You can only read the comic archives if you subscribe $3 a month. But I was able to read the whole archive in 5-6 hours (then you can cancel the subscription). Go read the comic for a week. Give it some time, it’ll grow on you.

And yes, I have been an Infendoian from the beginning (not just spamming up the comments for advertising).

James Kochalka is the man! I’ve read his work for a while now, and his album is actually really good, if you listen past the fact that most songs involve a Monkey or Wookie or making fun of the Beatleshttp://.

So yeah, the Beatleshttp://, for those of you that don’t know, were an earlier John Lennon trio project. And hell, they predicted the hypertext transfer protocol prefix! Brilliant!

    /oops

That is a sweet image of Link, I hope that next game looks as great as that!
