Youtube Tuesday: Jumping Music DS

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009 at 12:00pm by Will Thompson

This is probably one of the most original music rhythm games I have seen in a while. Anyone a big fan of games like these? I’m talking games like Ouendan, and Daigasso! Band Brothers, not that crummy reused beyond belief Guitar Hero stuff.

Have any suggestions or videos for YouTube Tuesday?

I was blown away in some parts. I was like this is different and that guitar hero is over played. It makes me want to play and it seems very addictive, plus I love the classical music. Nice find

Oh darnit, I thought Chibi Robo is the last game this year I’m going to spend my money on but this looks really great.

For the most part, I hate music games. I really have no use for them at all. But this looks like something that I will get. I love the selection of music they showed in the video (plus it looked like there was also an option for tropical music). I also liked the way they made playing the music a lot of fun. I can see my whole family having a great time taking turns playing this game. Growing up, we had Bugs Bunny to introduce us to lots of great classical songs. Nowadays, it’s unusual to see anybody using any of these great classics. If this can help my kids learn to appreciate classical music as much as I do, it is well worth the money.
So here’s my question – When is this game coming out? I tried looking it up on Gamestop, Gamespot, Amazon, etc… and nobody even has it listed. Is there a tenative release date? Is there a guess on the price?

Elite Beat Agents is the greatest game of all time, and nothing will ever convince me otherwise.

This game looks pretty cool. I’ve never tried any of the music games on the DS, but this one looks fun.

@Joshdad Yea Bugs Bunny was great because they always played the classical songs. I don’t see why more cartoons use these songs as I believe they’re public domain and it doesn’t cost money to actually play them. Of course they probably aren’t considered cool or hip… that might be why.

This looks pretty good. I enjoy some music games but mainly ones with original music (Rhythm Heaven aka ?????????). I don’t really care for the GH ones. I don’t see the need to push buttons on a plastic guitar feeling I am playing a rock song (don’t care for the music).
