A recent article in Wired magazine lists ways to lose “game gut” by playing more games.
Some of their tips:
- Instead of 30 minutes of aerobics (242 calories), play 30 minutes of Wii Boxing (250 calories).
- Instead of 15 minutes of sex (33 calories), play 7 minutes of Wii Tennis (46 calories).
Check out the rest of the article for tips using other consoles.

I love me some Nintendo, but Wii Sports over fornicating? Even fanboys need to draw the line somewhere.

Instead of 15 minutes of sexy-time, how about 45-60 minutes of sexy time.

I’d really be interested in seeing some real evidence of people succeeding at losing weight by playing the Wii. And no, I don’t count that guy from the Wii Sports Experiment. From what I’ve read he lost mostly water weight, which is not indicative of the effectiveness of Wii Sports as an exercise tool.
