Wii secret revealed - the Wii Cats have names!

In an interview with the developers of Wii’s Photo Channel, the names of both Wii Cats are revealed.

By the way, the cats in the Photo Channel and News Channel are brothers and sisters.SAKAINO:
The cat in the Photo Channel is Rassie, the younger sister. Because in Japanese, she always ends her sentences with “~rashiiyo” (meaning “they say” or “I heard”).ITO:
The News Channel one is Runda, taken from the way he ends his sentences with “~runda” (a boyish remark placed at the end of a sentence to emphasize its context).MATSUSHITA:

You never noticed the Wii Cats? They’re the helpful kitties that provide tips in both the Photo Channel and the News Channel. Do you think we’ll be seeing more of these friendly felines in upcoming Wii Channels?

Sometimes, I take out my old Nintendo Zapper and pretend to shoot the Wii cats. Payback for the Wii sensor bar wire massacre of 2006. I think it’s only fair.

But I already named the News one Chester. I’d confuse the crap out of him if I started calling him Runda.

Hey, I don’t suppose anyone out there knows how to get doodles made in the Photo Channel off of the Wii? You can mail them to other Wiis, but not to email addresses, and you can’t write to the SD card at all.

I have noticed also that Nintendo uses a cat as the character that enables online communications! Does anyone remember the Mysterious Cat from Animal Crossing: Wild World?
