Wii mod - Metroid Edition
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007 at 6:20pm by Jake
Whoa! Wouldn’t mind firing up one of these babies! This monster is loaded with pulsing LEDs, new paint, rechargeable stand, and loads of other sweet additions. The stainless steel Samus symbol was hand crafted by the skilled Morpheon mods, and took 12 hours to make. The Metroid Wii is on eBay (here) through October 1st, so make a bid if you have the cash!

I love this, will it marry me?
I don’t want to be a Nancy, but it would’ve been better if the nunchuk was a Metroid…just sayin’….

A grown man has just cried!

This is incredible. I think I just wept.
Silently, of course, like Samus.

That’s insane. All I could do is put a Metroid sticker on my Wii.

Looks very well done.
this guy should make a few of these and sell them off.
September 26th, 2007 at 11:51 pm
That’s pretty sweet… that’d be so fun to build.

The even better part:
“Portion of proceeds for Child’s Play Chairty”
I wish he would say how much, though…

Didn’t these guys did the Zelda mod (One with a shield and master sword) a long while back?
September 27th, 2007 at 5:25 am
i think thats the coolest mod ive ever seen

I went to the missionfish site and input the ebay ID and current bid price of $760 and they said at that sell price the seller would be donating a little less that $100 to charity… Now I understand this wasn’t an easy mod, and maybe this is how they make a living, but if you say “part of the proceeds for charity” I expect a bit more than 15%…
September 27th, 2007 at 9:35 am
holy crap this is so awesome
September 27th, 2007 at 9:42 am
I think 15% for charity is a very nice gesture, it´s a business after all.
September 27th, 2007 at 7:13 pm
They don’t have to donate anything to charity, the fact that they’d donate any amount is great. This type of custom mod is worth the cost, great attention to detail and craftsmanship. I want me one.

I think Retro should shell out and buy it, like the guys who are making God of War PSP did for this guy’s PSP mod a few months back.
