Comic artist James Kochalka loves video games and apparently it runs in his family. Looks like his Dad isn’t ready for motion controls, though. Click on through for the full comic.
Do you have any funny family Wii stories?

Only funny Wii story I have is that my mom’s never played video games - ever - even when we had the NES - and when I showed her Wii Bowling on Wii Sports, she beat both me and my dad - with 230 points - on her first try!
Man, I felt embarassed.
And for the comic - major meh. Just not really that funny IMO. Took a peek at some of the others; just didn’t pique my interest.

Well, it’s not a comedy strip. It’s a diary strip.

I brought my wii over to my brother’s one time. We were boxing and his dog was walking by. We were a little too into the game and i didnt see his dog and i threw a sucker punch into his dogs face!

Yeah…the comic is seriously NOT funny. Diary strip…so you stuck you shlong in a snake hole? The site was too slow for me to check out any more of those meh comics. You may want to rethink your life.

So it lacked a punchline, still thought it was good.

You guys are brutal. It’s not a comic. It’s a picture diary. Instead of writing lengthy posts, he draws pictures to explain what happened. Life isn’t always funny. Back off a dudes nutsack will ya.

Yikes. Go back to reading Hagar the Horrible, guys. James Kochalka is a significant comic artist, and I’m excited that he participates in this community. Don’t scare him off with your dunder-headed comments!

As far as kinda funny Wii stories, we’ve never punched the dog at my house. But we always have to put our dog (a pretty stupid and excitable boxer) outside whenever we play because when we wave the wii motes around he gets really excited and thinks we’re playing with him. He barks, and jumps around, and tries to bite the wii-mote out of our hands.
It’s the same whenever we try to play DDR, with all the jumping around he thinks it’s playtime and starts barking at us and jumping up, and getting underfoot. What a goofy dog.

when my dad first played guitar hero, he was on easy and he kept on trying to play the actual song instead of what the game has for him to play. he was playing to the song. not the GH notes.

My son and I had become pretty good at the Wii Sports boxing. He could through the uppercuts and jabs, block shots, duck, et all.
My wife came down and fought him in her first ever time on the Wii. She wailed away having no idea what she was doing. He tried boxing she was street fighting.
I felt sorry for him when he lost. His only comment was, “But she’s not playing it right!”.
