Victorious Boxers coming to Wii
Wednesday, March 14th, 2007 at 2:46am by StaffWell, this looks absolutely amazing and completely unplayable. Previous games in the series have been ported to the US and Europe, so it’s not entirely impossible that we’ll see it on our shores. Before you get too excited, notice that the hands don’t move freely between punches, which means that your movements will likely just be replacements for button presses. But, a man can dream.

Judging from the video this won’t be the case- but I think a good way to make a boxing sim would be to require 2-wiimote play. That way there wouldn’t be a weird cord in the middle and you could hold both remotes in “boxer-stance” ala WarioWare.
By the way I love how games are still using the revolution suffix for games even though the console no longer bears that name.

Katakana person has the right idea!
This game would work much better if you were not forced to use the nunchuck.
I AM worried this game will stink though. I own both PS2 Ippo games and they’re both terrible. Treasure made one for the GBA and THAT one rules. Now that I think of it, the Wii version looks a lot like the GBA version. Let me see if I can find a picture…
