Stamina Mega Flower Curry Heavy Slow Angled Brawl!

Thursday, September 13th, 2007 at 8:48am by Jack

Smash Bros BrawlNormally I don’t post every little Smash Bros. Dojo update, because by now most of you probably know where that site is and check it fairly often. If you don’t then I’m sending a ninja after you. If I can’t find a ninja then it’s going to be fesworks, so be prepared either way. However, once in a great while that site surprises me, and thanks to a hot tip from Infendo’s own, David, today is one of those times.

Special Brawl is a variation on Smash Bros. Melee in that you can apply multiple special effects to a match, as opposed to just one. Hence, the title of this post. Too bad it won’t be online, huh? :-P

Pro tip: Heavy slow is the only way to live life, as far as I’m concerned.

Has it been confirmed that it won’t have any online? I wasn’t aware that it had.

Sorry bOB, I was just being a prick :-)

I’m pretty sure nobody has confirmed one way or the other whether it will be online, and I’m also pretty sure there will be rioting in the streets if it’s not. This was supposed to be a Wii launch title, and it’s been delayed over a year. There is absolutely no excuse for this game not to be online.

Good there is still hope then :D

Yeah, Jack, don’t go around saying that there is no online for this game. I know that the new director hasn’t yet confirmed it, but since this game’s beginning, the #1 goal was to make this playable over WiFi: I would be shocked if this doesn’t happen.

@fairlady: lag is a great reason to not put it online. Though I suppose there will be enough people in your city/region playing to eliminate lag…

Who knows, I’d rather just play with my friends anyway.

Jack is correct. Just like Metroid, the initial release will be without online. Then, in 6 months to a year they will re-release an all new version with online and a handful of new features.

Retodd, such information is INCORRECT! The last time we got an official statement from Nintendo, it said that this title is going to be ONLINE. So stop spreading false information with no evidence!

For God’s sake, you wonder how rumors start…

I think it has already been confirmed by Nintendo that SSMB will be online, it’s just a matter of “how much” online it will be. I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say that it’ll be more extensive than just leaderboards, but beyond that I would hope for at least 2 vs 2 matches (a la Mario Strikers) if not a full blown 2 - 16 player super brawl.

Can we please stop discussing if Brawl goes online or not? Only time will tell!

Now let us talk about all the cool possibilites of Brawls! The first one I would try would probably be the Mega Metal Heavy Slow Brawl! =D One thing that makes me wonder: what does “body: clear” means? Is it the same as invisible?

    Bryan,
It is a joke. I am pretty sure that no one was fooled. I hope that you use caps lock and exclamations liberally because I didn’t mean to upset you

I think you’re jumping the gun on the “no online” statement, nothing has been said it isn’t online, and if my memory serves, one of the first things said at E3 a few years ago was that there as going to be online play in the game this time around.

I already visit the site monday through friday, but if I’m dead wrong about the online thing, send the ninjas after me anyway.

    Guess what?

    IT’S ONLINE
