Doesn’t really look like anything special, to be honest.
With all the Retro games on the VC and the new games coming on the Wii, I don’t think this game will be anywhere near my pocket book. And it should not be on anyones ” list” this Christmas.
Mmm, i´m thinking not, that buble poping game included in WiiPlay is far more fun(WiiPlay is actually a very fun game to play for example, with your girflriend)
hmm, i was expecting a “pop” reaction when the bubbles were popped. Hopefully something with reaction will be implemented by final use. Also, an article i found said 10 bucks will likely be the price. C’mon now, 5 bucks will get far more impulse buys, especially if Wii Play is 10.
Sooooooo it’s a game about popping bubbles? I can’t really see who they are trying to market this to except maybe 5 year olds….Now throw in some back story about how Bubbiculous the bubble king is trying to take over the Earth by filling it with his soapy minions of doom, make it a rpg with innovative leveling system based on how many bubbles you are able to string together in a “POP combo” and then put Mario on the front and you’ve got a game….Wait no, I’m still not seeing it. I don’t think anything could save this idea.
It looks like a flash game. I can play flash games for free; not paying a cent. If Nintendo prices this title — woops, correction: When Nintendo prices this title, I’m not buying.
I doubt any of the Wii Ware titles will sell for less than $10. I could be wrong, but the fact being that it’s an original title and hopefully has more to it than can be seen in a short video I don’t think it’ll be in the 500 point range.
I’m with everyone on this one when comparing this to the Wii Play bubble thing. $5? Yeah right. Might as well buy yourself some bubble wrap and have more fun.
I could’ve sworn I played a free Flash game that looked similar to this Wii Ware title… Flash games are fun for a few minutes at a time, but often seem more like a glorified tech demos than something I would pay for.
On the other hand, just look at how popular silly games like Peggle and Bejewelled have become. As long as the final game looks polished, has intuitive controls, and is fun to play then it just might find an audience!
Ah, here it is. “Catch a Falling Star”. Check out this website for a couple of neat, multiplayer Flash games created specifically for the Wii:
The video is taken out of context. According to an interview with a member of the development team, a PC mock up using a mouse was made to test whether or not the basic mechanic would be fun.
The video is basically just the bare bones without any of the further refinements that will be made. There are no chain reactions, power ups, and other features that are sure to be included.
looks absolutely insanely boring. you can find better flash games than that. much better, and they are free. there better be more, and it better be cheaper than $5. i’ll buy the new dr. mario wiiware title though. that actually looks fun.

…lets see…the game was basically included in the WiiPlay, is an extra (the gun alley) in WarioWare…
…no more then 1-2$. Max. 5$ is a rip off for whats basically point and press the button over and over and over.

$5 seems expensive for a game like this… even if it has 4 player MP options… but it looks a decent Christmas gift from Nintendo to all Wii owners

For solo players there are some flash-based browser games that work on Wii too…

POP on WiiWare looks like a complete waste of money.

The Everybody Votes Channel is worth more money than this thing.
