Nintendo hypes Metroid Prime 3 for Wii

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007 at 3:31pm by Blake

i_12811.jpgThe Nintendo courier (by way of email) just dropped off the below statement at Infendo headquarters to build some additional buzz surrounding Metroid Prime 3 on Wii.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption features amazing first-person controls, and takes advantage of the intuitive, motion-sensitive Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. This incomparable installment concludes the trilogy’s storyline while introducing new puzzles, bigger adventures and more intense battles. Media rave about Metroid Prime 3: Corruption’s game play and revolutionary controls. Chris Kohler of Wired.com even calls it “a brilliantly designed game, with perfected Wii motion controls,” while GameSpot.com’s Brian Ekberg hails it as “…an intense and challenging game, one that isn’t skimping when it comes to making the most of the Wii’s various control possibilities.”

How’s that for hype? Metroid Prime 3 is available on August 27.

That is exactly what Cassamassina’s article was about…I hate life.

Just gimme the damn game already…..

    I had no idea…

And all this time I thought Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was another installement of Brain Age, set in space.

Good thing Nintendo let us know well in advance what this game is really about!

    @ Kale

    Agreed.

Amazingly, those videos on the Metroid Preview Channel has increased this game’s hype 10-fold. Talk of a certain returning villain turned the internets into a Metroid frenzy yesterday. And each article ended with the same thing:

“I haven’t been this excited for a Metroid game since Super Metroid.”

Seeing a Mother Brain-esque fight fully realized in 3-D would be beyond amazing. I can picture it in my head.

I think Blake was referring to an e-mail Nintendo sent to Infendo, not the previews on the Metroid Channel…

    Two words: Spider Ball

Or is it just one word?

As for Cassamassina, the baby got a bottle: http://blogs.ign.com/Matt-IGN/2007/08/14/63365/

I’m leaving on Saturday to spend a week or so on the beach. I’m actually looking forward to the END of that vacation before it has even begun…because Metroid comes out when I come back home.

    Yeah, I’m THAT excited.

Yeah, I am ready for Metroid to rock my world.

Still, I hope the big N is advertising to groups that are not already going to purchase the game anyways.

I´m pretty hyped right now, when Echoes was released i was disapointed because the game never grabed me, and therefore i abandoned it. However this one looks packed with a lot of action and ass kicking. Now what has me real hyped are the controls, if those are any better than the Red Steel ones(from what i heard, they are, a LOT) then this game is gonna be totally awesome.

Sigh 26th October in the EU….
Everyday i die a little more.

I am so excited about this. I can’t wait to see what cool mouth watering commercials Nintendo airs for the game, as well as cool website content for us to salivate over. Then there’s the actual game itself; Metroid is the reason I am such a Nintendo fan. I have said it before but the Metroid franchise is my “Star Wars” of videogames. It is that important.
