NiGHTS Wii looking better everyday

NiGHTS is yet another title that has my interests piqued, even though it fails to leverage Wii’s saving grace: motion. Still, I’m anxiously awaiting this one when it drops on Dec. 18 — The perfect kiddie game to play on Christmas morning. Link

Ahhh…. This game looks great. I hope it does very well. Due to the recent “fall from grace” Sonic has had (Shadow, Riders, STH) people seem to be moving away from sonic titles (even the good handheld ones) and even Secret Rings didn’t break a million units.
Hopefully people can forget the past and buy this game so we can get more Sega and NiGHTS love.

Like they said in the video, it’s been more than good decade since the original, two whole generations of hardware now (more like 2.5 when you spread it out like DreamCast to PS3, etc.) and I think the Wii has grabbed an entirely fresh audience that probably has little to no memory of the original. I think the timing is in the game’s favor and I’m really looking forward to it. What was said about the difficulty of porting the original kinda downed me a little, though, but I’ll probably end up buying this one.
