This looks great. I love arcade baseball games, despite hating real baseball.

Predictable. But I don’t care. I must buy. Mario is the man.

I’ve been wanting a good arcade baseball game for wii. I’ve been meaning to get that powerful pro game that came out awhile back too but just never got around to it.

Looks pretty damn good. Might be the first baseball game I buy in a long long time.

I loved this game on the Cube. It was absolutely a blast to play. I can’t wait to get my hands on this.

This is looking really good. My wife and I loved the first one so we can’t wait for this to hit shelves.

If the motions controls work well, I will definitely get this. But, I’d rather have MLB Power Pros 08 get it right so I can pick that up instead.

Might be the first sports game I buy for the Wii.

I’ve been definitely looking forward to this… but from the video I’m a little worried that the pitching and hitting are step back from Wii sports. Little wrist flicks instead of full swings?

    MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I love the Mario 2D and 3D platform games, they are certainly magical, and some of the greatest games EVER made.
And Mario Kart? Just fabulous. Take Mario and company onto a race track for great fun anytime!
Mario turned back to 2D in the Paper Mario Universe? Sure, pretty good, actually.
I don’t even mind a SELECT FEW spin off- Mario games, now and then, involving the Plummer in a sports title.

But I have had MORE than enough “Hey- Hey guys! Lets make ANOTHER game with Mario in it…just because!” type of Games.

    Not for me, thanks.

    MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !

Cool! The gameplay looks fun and it’s at a decent pace. As stated above I’m hoping the pitching and batting controls are like Wii Sports if not better. I’m not a big sports game fan, but this looks fun. I like the arcade-y non-simulation feel to it.

What do you guys think of Mario being slapped on every game Nintendo releases? Do you think Nintendo can exhaust the Mario franchise? I personally don’t mind all these Mario games, it gives new franchises a familiar feeling while still bringing something new.

This actually looks like it could be pretty sweet. This is a good video because it really shows off what the game is all about and what is in it but leaves you wanting more.

Am I the only one that thinks the motion control here seems to not match the realistic motions one makes when playing baseball?
At least in Wii Sports Baseball they encouraged you to realistically take on the motions (even if you could use flicks of the wrist).

I thought Nintendo’s first foray into expanding one of the Wii Sports “mini games” would be like Wii Sports but bigger, better and more importantly, demonstrate the Wii remote’s motion capabilities. This doesn’t seem to do that based on the videos showing how the remote is being used.

For the record, I’m usually optimistic about Ninty’s efforts, but unfortunately, I haven’t seen much here to be supportive of.

    No thanks.

“What do you guys think of Mario being slapped on every game Nintendo releases?”

I think that it’s games like this that give us something to play while we wait for non-spinoff games.

Do you want to know what it’d be like without Mario Baseball, Tennis, Soccer, Golf, etc.? Look at the Zelda series. There’s huge gaps between every release.

Not only for that, but the games are quite enjoyable as well. :)
